Substitutes:

Note: You have selected a substitute pet.
The strategy might fail if you use it with this pet instead of the one the strategy creator intended.

The substitute finder looks for these criteria in relation to the original pet:
  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

1 / 2

At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Short and sweet, have no clue why people are adding teams that take forever compared to this fight.

Had a failure today, I ended up with the Valk being last pet standing but didnt have enough to finish, enemy pet had 176 health left. Using B/B P/P and S/S in slots retrospectively.

Gráinne

wrote on 2024-10-12 19:26:08

If you have followed the steps correctly, the Valk kills herself on Round 2, with Unholy Ascension. So she couldn't possibly be the last pet standing.

Unholy Ascension is necessary to buff the other two pets.

Did you perhaps accidentally use Haunt instead of Unholy Ascension?

WhyDaRumGone

wrote on 2024-10-13 03:31:09

Rematch has been doing this alot for me lately where it loads incorrect moves specifically on the 1st pet to the point where I am tempted to put in quits into scripts to accommodate for this.

Reedwand

wrote on 2024-10-17 20:15:49

oooh I will redo the match and see what happens. I will be honest sometimes I am reading guild chat whilst I press A. Thank you for the tip both!

Khisanth

wrote on 2024-09-28 15:39:33

4 times, 4 fails, Even if 2 stunts didn't help, I can't have him down under 800HP in the end, even with 9 to 10 turns with the 2nd pet coming back.

WhyDaRumGone

wrote on 2024-10-05 05:18:57

How were you getting stunned? There should be no way for you to get stunned if you are following the steps AFAIK

Gráinne

wrote on 2024-10-12 19:32:18

This is a near-100% strat. I found 1 fail in 2000 sim runs, when Ridge go in two high Crits on Tragg.

It is possible for the strat to fail, but very rarely. Certainly you would not get 2 fails in a row, let alone 4.

And what stun is used anywhere?

Looking at the comment above, are you sure you were using Unholy Ascension instead of Haunt? Or perhaps looking at the wrong battle?

WhyDaRumGone

wrote on 2024-10-13 03:30:07

The comments below now on my screen :-p
Let me fix that :-p

But yeah I did see in Sims runs for this there was a potential fail but would be so rare because there is still a chance the Anom could clean up.

Worked exactly as expected, thank you very much. My Tragg only had 240 attack, so we'll see if it works next time too, but first time, only one try! (edited)

Working script for Blightbreath:

use(Curse of Doom:218)
use(Unholy Ascension:321)
change(#2) [round=3]
use(Poison Protocol:1954) [round=3]
use(Void Nova:2356) [round=4]
change(#3) [round=5]

darthBT wrote on 2024-09-13 13:39:52

add one more use(Void Nova:2356) at the end of the script. it's possible to end up with the last 2 enemy pets still barely alive and just anomalus left. but one hit of void nova takes care of em.

darthBT wrote on 2024-09-13 13:40:33

so:

use(Curse of Doom:218)
use(Unholy Ascension:321)
change(#2) [round=3]
use(Poison Protocol:1954) [round=3]
use(Void Nova:2356) [round=4]
change(#3) [round=5]
use(Acid Rain:1051)
use(Dreadful Breath:668)
use(Dreadful Breath:668)
use(Void Nova:2356)
