There is some RNG, if Dustie puts crypt fiend to sleep, scenario 2 can sometimes fail. Additionally, if Roar of the Dead misses due to Darkness, each scenario can fail.

Thanks for this idea! I used Son of Sethe (2,1,2) with the Lift-Off ability. Followed guide as normal and won in Fragment's undead phase! :D

As written, very RNG dependent. If Tempe spams Magma Wave instead of using Conflagrate against the Cursed Birman, he can easily one-shot the Scourged Whelpling when it finally comes out. Bringing the Scourged Whelpling out manually doesn't really fix the problem because it gives Tempe a free round. This strat really needs Tempe needs to use Conflagrate against the Cursed Birman, which is entirely random.

Took 5 tries to win with this strat. For some reason, the Scourged Whelpling didn't even rez during most of the attempts.

I used Spectral Raven 1 1 1 instead of Cursed Birman, and used warning squawk/call darkness and infected claw until Spectral died, and then the rest as in the script, for me it worked fine first try,
