Breed
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
Level 1+
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
Script
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
Staff Pick
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

Worked, even when I, for some reason, needed two tries.

But I don't see the reason.
Perhaps just a hickup on the server, bad crit luck or rematch had no coffee at the morning.

Thanks for the invaluable feedback. As written, the script will have you pass on round 5 if your Viperid crits on rounds 3 and 4. In 5000 simulations, all 8 losses were from this rare occurrence. Remy will then have the opportunity to cast Survival and kill your Green Viperid. A double crit should speed up the fight, the script slows the fight down in this case. Minor rework incoming.

Hey mate, 8/5000 isn't bad loses :p but I noticed a couple of things with the script so try these mods, should fix those rare 8 losses. I ran it 2000 times with the Sim but never tried it in game

Thank you, I might sim it later. Does this modification have the level pet come in whilst bubble is cast?

WhyDaRumGone

wrote on 2024-05-28 22:24:58

Yup

(OP) Kalagren

wrote on 2024-05-29 00:38:40

Simmed at 5000-0. Instead of 8 losses, there were 7 simulations that went 14 rounds instead. Much better than a loss.

The third pet was chosen as it's immune to the polymorph effect of frog's kiss. 99.85% at 13 rounds or less as a result.
Thanks! 0% chance of failure is always best!

Since I now have a Darkmoon Hatchling, I've actually swapped and put this as my #1 strat now and use 2 alternative versions of mine as backups

Nice strat! Though I don't have the 3rd pet so Ill have to look for alternatives

Edit: thinking I might try out a Coastal Sandpiper
(edited)

(OP) Kalagren

wrote on 2023-01-16 09:33:28

That was one I was looking at. Off the top of my head, I think I had only the P/B breed. 65% own a Sandpiper and 55% a Ra'kim. Ra'kim came in one breed so I went with it.

Thank you for the words of encouragement.

WhyDaRumGone

wrote on 2023-01-16 20:16:31

I wasn't sure if you went with it for Slicing wind encase you need to remove Bubble

(OP) Kalagren

wrote on 2023-01-16 20:58:23

I had tried multiple pets. Slicing wind worked well being strong against aquatic in case the viperid didnt do any damage to Dinner (never happened in testing). I think it would still take two attacks of slicing wind to remove bubble as I believe each series of 1-3 slices is considered one attack. Correct me if I am wrong on that. Cursed Dune Watcher was high on my list but a polymorph and a crit limited my testing (something I will have to retest). Another option when I get the chance would be something that can hit hard and a series of attacks. A falcosaur looks like a great option with a 2 round swarm with its debuff setup for a huge predatory strike, but then you're back into a polymorph vulnerability zone. The 3rd pet option can be so much better for sure. (edited)

WhyDaRumGone

wrote on 2023-01-17 00:28:20

Yeah a critter might work well on the odd chance it gets called in BUT would would need moves good against him.

Yeah it's a weird one. Some 3 rounds moves do cancel both bubbles (Like Swarm). I'm not sure about slicing winds BUT I pretty sure you are correct. Next time it's around I'm super excited to see this in action :p

(OP) Kalagren

wrote on 2023-01-17 01:26:35

I actually tried an elemental out, but I wanted 1 or 2 rounds to finish with the 3rd pet. 3 rounds if polymorphed. Echo of the Cave trucks it, but with setup time and giving Aquatic damage 25% against an elemental....

(OP) Kalagren

Darkmoon Hatchling is a solid 3rd pet.
Guarantees 13 turns and is more common.

Its worth noting the magic number for the round 5 standby is 431. Getting Remy at that health requires just one crit. Your viperid receives the Beast racial for turn 6 attack insuring Remy dies doing at least 525 Bite damage.

The Aqir Tunneler can die if EVERY attack crits.

Trample does dispel Dinner's Bubble. Unfortunately, Darkmoon Hatchling doesn't do enough damage to shorten the battle. (edited)
