Jasmina over in this comment thread suggested this team setup, so I decided to take it for a spin. It works surprisingly well!
Sometimes your Mining Monkey takes out most of the enemy team, and other times your Vengeful Porcupette barely pulls through by the skin of their teeth. But it rarely fails. +1 point for random comments! |

There's a bit of RNG in this, from what I could tell when testing it a couple times.
Had some unfortunate crits a couple times, but otherwise it went pretty good. As for breeds I my Zandalari Anklerender and Zandalari Footslasher were both S/S, but I think the others can work as well. Script thanks to Spottsy |

*No RNG strategy!*
NOTES: An important part of the strat is killing Delta quickly, and Leap > Exposed Wounds> Hunting Party is how to effect this. Equally, any S/S Zandalari pet with Leap and Black ClawHunting Party will also work; this includes the Zandalari Anklerender and Zandalari Kneebiter. This strategy deals with the RNG by making swift work of the first opponent via Black Claw and Hunting Party. Vengeful Porcupette avoids a lot of the undead damage from Scars via Spirit Spikes leaving an opportunity to deal damage against Little Blue. Finishing off the third pet is easy with the Summit Kid who packs a punch including a 25% stun. |

There is some RNG here depending on how well Flurry does and what moves Delta uses but it doesn't matter too much.
I take Leap on the second fox so I can Leap -> Howl against Little Blue because once Primal Cry is on you he will be faster even with Dazzling Dance up. The third pet can really be anything with a high damage attack. The calves seem to work well using Headbutt and it also has a chance to stun. |

I did this about 10 times and won every time. There is some rng and I had one close call but instead of cower I used flurry and won it. I played with the different foxes and I believe the 3 in the order that they are in now will win every time. Hopefully.

I'm a fresh petbattler, so I didn't have other guides pets and tried on my own.
This strategy worked pretty well with the pets easily obtainable. Thought it'd be nice to share. Since these are common pets with not special skill, you can use other spider or larva with similar skill set. But I am not sure how it would work out with breed or H/P/S. In that case take these note. 1st Spider Prio Brittle Webbing Larva Prio Always keep up the Spiked Skin 2nd Spider Prio 1 Drain Blood Prio 2 Burrow I posted wrong Pet family once, sorry about that. |

third pet just needs to have a hard hitter, like rampage.

Speed strategy that works really good, to counter the damage from first 2 enemy pets (maybe not entirely, but 2 turns without damage are better then nothing).
There's still a chance of unlucky crits or damage based on Delta's unpredictable rotation, but it's pure RNG of this fight. I suggest not to use S/S Zandalari's, power is more useful in this one :) In many cases, 3rd Zandalari is not used at all. But he is a good backup option. I've created a regular strategy just for WQs |

If Delta hits 3 times, but 1 of those are a Critical hit, restart fight as it's highly likely that Xu-Fu will die before Delta, and therefor make the strategy fail entirely.

In my first test, Delta went Thrash, Thrash, Hunting Party in the first three rounds, and the battle proceeded exactly as the strat says.
In my second, he went Thrash, Black Claw, Thrash. And in this battle, he killed my Pyreclaw in Round 3, as you describe.
Never fear! After that, the Porcupette destroyed all three of the opposing team without breaking a sweat. Admittedly, I freestyled, used Flank and Spirit Spikes liberally once I was faster, but I suspect the boring ol' Powerball would have worked too.
I think the author of this strat wasn't confident about the phrasing of the RNG that is inherent in the first rounds of the battle. And a Curator could definitely clean up the round descriptions.
But this is a Family strat, and does come with an RNG tag, and I'd be quite happy with it.
