One of the perhaps cutest additions to the pet battling world are the four Falcosaur pets obtainable through Legion World Quests.
There are plenty of guides available online, so I will not repeat them here. I can recommend for example this one.
One of the last steps in the quest chains asks you to complete pet battle world quest with your Falcosaur and pets from a specific family. These can be a bit tricky and that is why this section here exists.
Here you will find a strategy for every Falcosaurs individual challenge, for every single world quest!
Xu-Fu can scan this section for the most suitable strategies according to your preferences and show the required pets.
Depending on the amount of fights in the section, this can take up to a minute to process.
Hey. I can confirm that pety challenges cannot be completed in one go. It's because you have to have the hatchling out before the battle. He could die in battle. You can't speed up the quest by using three hatchlings in battle. Tried twice
For Falcosaur Team Up quests... <To learn, your hatchling must be at your side before you begin a battle, must be your first pet to enter the battle, and cannot die in battle.>
For those doing the team up quests (later in the line) I can confirm as at 8.1 your relevant falcosaur needs to be summoned before the fight BUT does NOT need to be part of the team. Go go misleading quest text. Only mainland legion quests (not broken isles, not bfa) count as pet battles for the team up quests.
I was completing quests and not receiving the recognition for them until I read the quest, Falcosaur must be summoned before entering battle, must be your first pet to enter the battle and cannot die, so many of these strats will not work
I upvoted this to get it out of the negative. I don't know why anyone would downvote it, seeing as what Rayyn said is true. None of these strats I've been seeing are taking into account the requirements the quest text specifies which means most of them will not work. Some updated strategies would be wonderful, whenever possible!
I finished my Team Rumbles today almost entirely with these strats and almost never had the falcosaur come into battle first. I also forgot to summon a couple multiple times and still got credit, so Rayyn isn't 100% correct. Not sure if I just got lucky or if Blizz made these quests a little easier.
That's really confusing to me! Considering the quest text for each one specifically states these requirements. So I'm guessing they're outdated/no longer required then? Good to know! I'll have to give it a try sometime.
It is rather confusing. But since I did it myself just a few days ago I can definitely say that the Falcosaur does not have to be in the first slot. And it can even die during battle, you still get credit.
I do believe it needs to be summoned before the battle, although not sure about this one (never tried without ^^)
Thank you for the double confirmation Aranesh! It'd be nice if Blizzard updated their quest text for that. The listed requirements make it so much harder than it has to be, for those who don't know that it's inaccurate. xD
I just did my last Direbeak Team Rumble fight against Nightwatcher Merayl and got credit for it. I did not use the hatchling in battle or have him summoned prior to the fight. He does get hit in the back row so maybe that counts?
I only reached this point of the Falconsaur quests around Christmas so I do not know when it was changed back to the way it used to be for the earlier quests. But it is not like it was for Rayyn back in November.
With the limited number of World Quests up at one time and working on the last 3 mounts all at the same time, I have had the Falcosaur with the current quest I am working on as my summoned pet. I don't want to waste time finding out if that is a requirement because it is so easy to do. I have always had it on the team I am playing basically for the same reason. That means I cannot speak for those requirements.
In support of what a few others have said, and as an FYI for what it is worth. none of those other requirements have kept me from completing these quests. My Falcosaur has died, and I have had it in a slot to match the abilities of the other team, not always the first slot.
The problem here is that people don't read. There are TWO quests that involve Falcosaurs and Pet WQs. 1) Team Up: Your Falcosaur does NOT have to be in the team but it has to be OUT. to get credit. So after you assemble your team (with or without Falcosaur) make sure to summon the appropriate one. 2) Team Rumble: Falcosaur has to be IN the team, but it doesn't matter which row, it doesn't matter if it has an active turn or if it dies. It also does not have to be summoned out. Tested for 7.3
Decided to test out Feorthorn's assertion that the Falcosaur doesn't have to be in the team during the Team Up battles. It was carried out with a Sharptalon while working on the Sharptalon Team Up, battling Andurs and Rydyr, making sure it was out during both battles.
The result is that the assertion is correct, at least in this case. Can't speak for the other Team Up quests but will certainly try it out on the remaining ones.
This needs heavily downvoted because it is confusing people the strats here are for the "TEAM RUMBLE" only not the quest you are on which is way earlier in the chain.
Very confusing. As others have said the Falc needs to be the first pet according to the quest text and cannot die plus must be summoned before beginning. I have done several pet battles and not got credit. The last time I did it , I completed everything as required and still failed to credit because after the battle was over my Falcosaur was no longer summoned even though I had him summoned before the battle began! VERY frustrating. Incidentally just noticed you had this page for this pet battle series. Wonderful, I was trying them on my own with sometimes limited success.
I just did the last Pet Battle WQs on all 4 this past weekend and can confirm that the Hatchling does NOT need to survive to get credit. I had multiple fights where there was only a single non-Falcosaur alive and it worked. I also accidentally had the wrong Hatchling summoned during the fight and it still succeeded.
Also, we confirmed that you CAN do the same WQ on an Alt to get additional credit, but you can not get credit for the same WQ Fight on the same Hatchling quest more than once. But you CAN switch to an Alt and do the same WQ with a different team working towards a different Hatchling Quest.
are you saying there are strats for team rumble, like humanoids because im not finding any so either there not listed here or i am just so confused i cant find them. thanks
When you click on the world quest (along the right side of this page), there will be at least 4 strategies. You will have to click on the alternative strategies to the right to get to the different strats for the different pets. You'll see that all the strats for Bloodgazer have beast pets, Direbeak has humanoids, etc.
I'm afraid that's currently not possible. Would require quite a lot of coding from my end. I hope I'll be able to do something similar which should serve the same purpose more or less soon :-)
I haven't made to Team Rumble (Day-14) yet and I'm currently working on Team Up (Day-5). Although both Day-5 and Day-14 are pet battle quests, the requirements are different.
The Day-5 quests need to "summon the falcosaur out" instead of "let the falcosaur join the battle", which means as long as you summon falcosaur with you before the battle, you get credit even without it actually in your battle team. Unfortunately, this also means you can't get credit for 2+ falcosaur quests with 1 world quest.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to mention this, but it might be helpful for someone who confuses these quests. :)
I tired again the same Fight Night Amalia on an alt and used the same line up but I started with the Falcosaur, it seems that it is the same as levelling, the Falcosaur needs to engage in the battle for it to count
If you mouse over Legion (on top), then go to Falcosaur Team Rumble, it should work.
If it's not entirely working for you yet, it's because XuFu has only just moved it like a day or so ago and he's been sick as well.
XuFu and I agreed that it would be better to give it it's own section.
Oh! I figured it out. The sidebar looks exactly like it does for the Legion main pages, but this time all the masters listed under each zone are teams set up with Falcosaurs. GOT IT. That was not obvious to me without actually clicking on the teams >.> Thanks for your responses :)
I haven't done every single one of them alone. There were those who took their time to send in their suggestions, which I have all tried and tested and the ones that have made it on to your site, are those that passed. To all of you who've sent in strategies, both those that are on the site and those who didn't make it, I would like to say Thank you.
And to XuFu: Thank you for letting me on "your team". I have enjoyed very much to solve the puzzles to make the strategies work, some with no/very little RNG and others with a lot of RNG.
Ein Traum! 1000 Dank für die Hilfe!!! Hab mich nach den ersten Versuchen schon den Computer aus dem Fenster schmeissen sehen vor lauter Verzweiflung. Aber so funktioniert es perfekt. Nochmals danke!
