The Aurelids that drop the Aurelid Lattice are only available with the Fishing Portal that is used during the WQ Fish Eyes is up.

Otherwise, you need the Aurelid Lure for Hirukon:

Step 1

- First, fish up Strange Goop in Hirukon's lake at 51.8 74.5. Then Fly To NPC Baroness Vashj 57.6 92.1 in Maldraxxus and speak with her. You can also buy/sell Strange Goop in AH.

Step 2

Get 3 items for Baroness Vashj:

1. Pungent Blobfish - Can be fished in Zangarmarsh 52.5 37.9 from Pungent Blobfish Cluster. To get there You need to swim down through the pipe to Coilfang Reservoir ( how you get to Serpentshrine Cavern )

2. Flipper Fish - Can be fished in Nazjatar 73.1 24.2 Fish it up from Flipper Fish School then you need to click it when it comes up on the ground.

3. Coilclutch Vine - You can pick it up from Coilclutch Vine located in Shimmering Expanse, Vashj'ir 34.7 74.9. Coilclutch Vine is located on the 2nd level of the underwater structure.

After collecting the 3 items fly back to Baroness Vashj in Maldraxxus.

Step 3

Take Aurelid Lure to Zereth Mortis 51.8 74.4 and use it, Aurelid Cluster will spawn, then you will fish from it and Hirukon will come up.

Unlocking the Protoform Synthesis Forges requires you to research the Dealic section through the Cypher of the First Ones, Cypher Research Console, and then complete a short quest line.

You will gain access to the Cypher Research Console after you finish Chapter 3 of the Secrets of the First Ones campaign.

To gain access to the Battle Pet Protoform Synthesis Forge, you will need to research Dealic Understanding.

After researching Dealic Understanding, your Pocopoc will provide you with a quest called Protoform Synthesis. Finish this and you will have access to the forge which allows for the crafting of Battle Pets.
