Patch 10.1.7: Fury Incarnate

On 5 September, Patch 10.1.7: Fury Incarnate will be released!

We have two pets being released with this patch, both of which were previously datamined:
Cheddar & Crimson Swoglet

These pets are connected to the Dreamsurge event. You'll need to dragonride around the zone where the Dreamsurge is active, flying through floating green motes that will appear in archways, as well as other inconvenient land formations and architecture. These motes and the Dreaming Growths (lootable plants) will give you anywhere from 1 to 5 Dreamsurge Coalescence, which is the currency for the event. You can also collect Dreamsurge Coalescence by completing objectives in a Dreamsurge zone, such as killing rares and fending off Druid of the Flames invasions, and by completing pet battle WQs.

Both Cheddar and the Crimson Swoglet will each cost you 250 Dreamsurge Coalescence from the vendor Celestine of the Harvest.

When does the Dreamsurge event begin? And how does one get to the DreamSurge zone to collect this new currency?

I imagine it'll begin when the servers come back up. The event itself is another open-world event, like the hunts, and you should see a Horn on your map telling you where they're at. ^^

Okay, it's not a horn, lol. The friendly event NPCs will be like a green bloom, and at the :00 and :30 of an hour you'll see a fireball looking thing on your map to tell you where the Druids of the Flame will be. The druid thing goes fast if you're on a high-pop realm. I don't think ours is lasting more than maybe 3 minutes.
