I was having trouble getting the other strategies to work consistently.

50+ bandages later, the only reason I failed with this strat was RNG due to Tempestade de Areia/Chamado da Escuridão.

Per Hammerforge's and Zivarra's comments, I've updated the breed on the Blind/Frostfur Rat to HB/HP/BB, but please let me know if other breeds work.

Tried 5 times, and failed each time. I don't think it's an RNG issue. Every single time, I had to do a third sneak attack to get Turbo down, which made it impossible to get the call darkness off before my Frostfur rat was killed.

I just tried this battle twice. I lost the first, by a hair. Won the second.

Breeds and RNG definitely play a role here.

I used Nuts as my squirrel, as the squirrel I had that most closely satisfies the speed > 285 constraint. That 285 constraint is essential against Turbo. Without it, your squirrel WILL die a round early, as you describe, because you won't have the advantage of the first move.

I used a P/P Frostfur Rat both times. It seemed to work well enough.

Both times, the strat went exactly as specified until the last pet.

You have to factor into the usual crit RNG that you will be operating in Sandstorm, then Immediately Darkness, for the last 6 rounds. With an added 10% miss chance, you just gotta roll the dice.

My first attempt, I used an S/S Nether Roach. That wasn't the best idea. Whiplash is a flyer, and therefore faster than anything you can use until it hits half-health; then its speed drops to 260, which is slower than any Nether Roach. The S/S Nether Roach almost did it.

Second attempt I switched to a H/H Nether Roach, and that won the battle easily.

So there is RNG, but hey, it's a Family strat, with a weak Family at that. I'll take it! (edited)

Did it with a H/H blind rat after 5ish tries. My roach lived with exactly 1 health, and felt like the most rng part of the fight.

No. Just no. This did not work at all. The nerf to Shattered Defenses (Stampede/Flock/etc) makes Turbo require an extra hit from my H/P Frostfur Rat, and it can't survive to get a proper attack in on Whiplash, whose Sandstorm once again wrecks my final pet. Call Darkness, the one time I got it off, only ended up working against me.

Worked with a PS Blind Rat, still RNG regardless because of Sandstorm/Call Darkness but it worked first try.

The Nether Roach wasn't working for me (RNG prolly). So I subbed in a Rapana Whelk (S/S) and Ooze Touched until Whiplash was slower speed (when he gets below 1/2 health and loses the flying pet speed buff). Then when Whiplash did Cocoon Strike, I did Dive and that took 'em down. Hopefully that helps someone! ^_^

Oh - I was also using alts: Squirrel (S/B) and Frostfur Rat (S/S) but the strat was fine for me up until the Nether Roach part.

Took me a dozen+ times for it to work for me with Grizzly Squirrel (SS), Blind Rat (BB) & Nether Roach (HS). You have to stick to rotation exactly and hope for no misses during Sandstorm, plus during my winning run I got a crit with Nether Blast so not exactly sure if that helped get over the line. I knew it was going to work, but I knew I had to be a little lucky as well.

Thanks for the feedback! I don't have any SS pets with the moveset of squirrels, so my guess would be that was the deciding factor, especially since Canukistani had issues with an SS Chipmunk. My Blind Rat and Frostfur Rats are both HB - I've updated the breed tag on that pet as well.

Thanks, I've updated the breed on the Alpine Chipmunk. Could you be more specific about the pet(s) you used that didn't work?

I ran up to the step you described 5 times each with an SB Alpine Chipmunk, a PS Grizzly Squirrel, and a BB Squirrel with no deaths.
