It is RNG, first time my monkey died and then all mine were wiped out, healed and ran it again and then got all of them with 2 pets.

Works Shadowlands prepatch worked first try for me and still had a third pet as backup I didn't need.

I didn't follow your instructions exactly the first time and failed miserably. =D Paid better attention the second time and it worked like a charm. Didn't even use the Kneebiter!
