Right now the final boss is extremely vulnerable to damage "reflecting" shields, so Tinytron with two of them shines in this fight. I apply Shattered Defenses (damage taken increased by 100%) with Flock and then force the Tinytron swap by using a pet with higher health in slot#3.

You can replace Ikky with any other pet that can apply Shattered Defenses for 2 rounds (Stampede, Swarm, Inflation etc. but not Hunting Party!) with speed 295+

This team & strat is part of my Emperor Crab & Soul of the Forge challenge run. I tried to use a very limited number of no super rare pets who usually survive multiple fights.

I was strugglng on this battle, so I tried a bunch of pets Strong and Tough vs Mechanical, and I found that 낄낄거리는 화염정령 111 in the third slot hits this opponent like a truck.

If you don't have a third pet with a high enough HP pool nor the plushie, you can use a ninja Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling with Explode. Explode as soon as it gets pulled in, choose Tinytron as your next pet and follow the strat as listed. I only tried once and it worked, so it could be RNG. I didn't notice any egregious crits, though, so you should be good.

The attack that makes your Ikky switch will NEVER get Tinytron up front because it targets the lowest HP pet in your party. I don't know what possible breeds Tinytron has, but mine had all hearts, so its HP is 1887. Out of 999 pets only 1 other I have goes over that value LOL
Instead of random, I suggest adding as a 3rd member, any pet with an elemental shield, such as Giggling Flame (with Flame Jet you can defeat the enemy in case it ressurects with 213 HP instead of full health and the debuff), Magma Rageling, Son of Skum, and Sunscale Hatchling, to name a few. The team was never suggesting random pets, there was always the HP minimum to make sure Tinytron will be the lowest Health pet when Ikky is force-swapped. Of course you'll need a pet with at least 1888HP but there are plenty, unfortunately none of yours seem to match this requirement. Maybe get a Elekk Plushie?

The team does say the third should have greater than 1887 but the strategy didn't seem to pick one and instead calls a random pet. I found my HH Pebble worked as it has the required HP and also abilities that are good against mechanical if it is needed.

So far I have done this 4 times in a row, my best "any" has so far been the Lil War Mahcine for the last 2. I just keep switching to an ant an using a bandage. But I either fail, or the boss and the Tinyton both die at the same time, which counts as fail.

Not sure what you're doing wrong, but this strat has never failed for me. Are you making sure to use a pet with more health than Tinytron in the 3rd slot? As noted in other comments, a level 25 Elekk Plushie works nicely.

RNG can get you without a 2nd Tinytron (even with the higher health pet). Then you have wasted 30 minutes. (edited)

I guess it's still possible to log on to another character and use a bandage there without being close to a reset of the scenario. (still interested in what the RNG you mention looks like)

I didn't have a leveled Tinytron, but a 25 Servant of Demidos in the second slot with Lightning Shield followed by a couple of attacks of its Magic Sword were enough to waste this boss.

A tip: if you're having trouble getting the third pet's health above the Tinytron's, put Elekk Plushie in third slot, you'll kill the boss with tinrytron anyway, so that third slot doesn't matter and Elekk Plushie has 2537 health

I first did it with 2 Ikky's, but since I got Tinytron on max level, I don't want another strat than this one, but when I started this one with Tinytron, I had trouble finding a pet with higher health than tinytron until I saw that Elekk plushie has way above that and you don't need to use 3rd pet anyway.

Yup, that was it I think, I assumed the Rematch would bring in a pet with enough HP but it wasn't for the first few tries, in the end I stuck Elekk Plushie in there and it worked fine - Thanks :>

Used Thundertail Flapper 221 (Jolt / Lightning Shield / Thunderbolt) in the third slot. He kills Pulveriser as easily as Tinytron. So if he gets swapped in instead it isn't a problem. (edited)

I did this with a Ikky followed up with a Spawn of G'nathus with 2,2,1. On swap use Lightning Shield then Thunderbolt and finally Jolt.

The reason why this strategy works is because Jackhammer is a quad-attack despite tooltip not necessarily reflecting this. Add in additively calculated Shattered Defenses, you're looking at a 50% damage increase on a reflective shield that deals baseline 210 damage and 315 strong for a max 472,5 damage but capped to 458 due to the Boss Buff max 35% dealt per attack basis. And then of course you got 2 shields just for the giggles.

The design intention from Blizzard was that Jackhammer would be countered by Stoneskin flat damage reduction buffs since the ability bypasses that reading off the tooltip. They never gave a thought to thorns damage.

Exactly and I'm completely aware of it, maybe the description reads as I stumbled upon something surprising ;-) We already have this happening vs. Chitara and it was reported in Beta and... it's still unchanged.

I think they made damage reducing mechanics so weird (looking at numbers in tooltips and what is really happening especially with racial bonuses/weaknesses) that they need a complete overhaul of this part of pet battles for the future.

For me, it looks like they had a nice idea for this encounter but flat damage reducing abilities would have broken it in a way they decided that the main attack needs to ignore them.

I think Blizzard will make changes to this Boss after that comment.

You: Stampede
Boss: the biggest hammer
You: Lightning-shield
Let the boss attack you 2 times, he'll kill himself... THE END

Explaining:
Use any mascot that has above 276 speed and abilities similar to that: Inflation from Lil-bling or any companion (like a simple Rabbit ) to use Stampede

Then use Lightning-shield from Stormstruck-beaver or thundertail-flapper

A max level Elekk Plushie is both very affordable, and has the highest health of any pet I know of. Plus you need her for another achievement anyway. :)

So much fun watching Pulverizer self destruct! Foulfeather works well in place of Ikky, if you've used Ikky in earlier fights. Out of curiosity, why did you include step 4 - Flamethrower? It doesn't have a chance to go off, Pulverizer is too busy junking itself.

Electrified Razortooth decimated this one. Used Ikky then it forced a change to my B/B Electified Razortooth. Use 2,1,2 start with the shield then paralizing shock then finish with jolt. Easy fight.

This strat looks like about the best. I like Magma Rageling, and what I do is apply Foreboding Curse to slow him down, let me get the shield up befor ehis next turn, and increase damage for more than just two rounds.

Whatever slot I put tinytron it the boss never pulled him in to combat. So I put there 2 lvl 25 tinytrons in my pet battle team :P
(Or also the tactic with amalgam of destruction works)

The Biggest Hammer forces the lowest health pet into battle. Would be Ikky but that is the one that will be swapped. It doesn't matter in which slot you have that pet. Sure you put a pet in slot#3 that has more HP than Tinytron like the team preferences say?

If you've got a H/H Tinytron (which has 1887 HP), you may have to search to find a pet with more HP. I used Elekk Plushie. Other candidates with only one breed are Pebble, Scooter the Snail and Zoom. If you don't have any of those, you could try to get a H/H Emerald Turtle or Shimmershell Snail.

Tinytron can be swapped out with a Magma Rageling if you don't have one. He dies to one fire shield.

Ikky: Flock
Phoenix Hatchling: Immolate, conflagrate and burn
Fel Flame: Immolate, conflagrate and burn
