I attempted with my minimal knowledge of writing scripts to try to modify the original and the following worked for me:

Claiming a strat didn't work doesn't help, expecially when it obviously has worked for others (including me, from my comment below).

If the strat failed for you, and you want your comment to be taken seriously:

1. Specify EXACTLY which species and breeds you used.

2. Specify whether you read the strategy from the site and executed it manually, or downloaded and used the tdScript.

3. Specify EXACTLY where the first unexpected thing happened, the first thing that deviated from what the strat predicts. What died too early? What didn't die when it was supposed to? What attack missed?

4. If possible, provide a log. You can see your log in the Pet Battle tab of your chat box. You can pull that out, make it bigger, screenshot it. Better still, you can use the addon Battle Pet Log Keeper from Curseforge, and do /pblk and Save Battle when the battle you want to log is complete.

Almost any strat can fail to a really unlucky string of crits, and some difficult challenge strats like the Family ones may fail more than anyone likes, but the people behind this site do their best to promote well-working strats. Do your part. Provide useful information.

Nothing personal at all. People take the time and trouble to test and refine their strats, and type them up here to help others.

And not every strat is sufficiently reliable, and sometimes can be improved by accurate and specific reports of the conditions where they go wrong, so that the strat setters and curators, and other regulars who help out, can take them into account.

But it's also VERY common for people who Did It Wrong to type up a one-liner claiming that a strat doesn't work when the issue was PEBCAK. I came here to check out the strat that you made the comment about, and see that I already checked it out a year ago.

So, if you genuinely have found an error in a strat, by all means point it out, but be specific, so that even if you did it right, people don't waste time trying to find the rare failure conditions.

He's right, so I'm not sure why he got downranked so much. The strat is crap and very RNG heavy. Unless you can get past the blind somehow, the steps do NOT work at all past the first 4 actions with your Emerald Proto Whelp. Definitely not the best strat, and not sure why it's got so many upvotes.. It's just not good if you are looking for something quick and not sitting there forfeiting for 5+ rounds to get lucky.

Just ran this strat and it still works. My emerald proto whelp was a P/B if that helps anyone & my lvl pet was at least a lvl 10 with over 700 health & used a heavy hitting attack seeing as it didn't have a shield, healing, etc.

Wel, I just checked, and logged my battle, and it worked exactly as expected by the strat - except that the Idol's Sandstorm did more damage because of the demented Shadowlands weather buff.

From the numbers, I can't see how it's possible for the EPW to die before killing Kali, even with bad RNG. (And I was using a P/S EPW just to check it; a P/P would have been better.)

I think you must have made a mistake somewhere.

I also had my Emerald Proto-Drake die, but on the second pet. Which wasn't too terribly of a big deal, I was able to finish both remaining pets off with my Anubisath Idol, but it did take longer.

not optimal, but probably due to the script...would be better to take into account to not do the lift-off-ability when blinded, otherwise it's a lot of praying to RNG-sus. my levelling pet died, and anub JUST made it through. but considering how much bad luck I had and still made it, I'd say solid strat.

This is a long battle that never really works out as it's written. The Idol always dies before Ashtail. It succeeds only if you keep up Emerald Defense and Incinderous chooses to use Swarm despite the fact that it does no damage.

Edit: Plus, I don't think there are any level 1 pets with 700 hp... (edited)

Since Crush is an RNG attack, I updated this strategy. With the Proto-Draghetto di Smeraldo before the i]Idolo Anubisath it's perfect, now.

using an h/h idol and an H/S emerald whelp I cannot seem to get this strat to work either. My idol seems to die too early - (ashtail is still up, sometimes the idol is dead as he comes in) Not sure why its an issue but after 12 tries... moving onto something else.

after looking at *why* if the blind is not cast on your carry pet, it will fail. If blind IS cast on your carry pet, seems to work fine.
