Got this on my third try (255 chance to stun for us is like 10%, 25% chance on Blizz side is like 100%), and it worked SO well afterwards that I didn't even need my third pet!

After several frustrated tries with a few of the other strats, I did this one but replaced third pet with Ominous Flame (2 x 2) slowing down his third pet Baeloth with Foreboding Curse and spamming Spitfire Bolt. Didn't even get a stun with Rupture so my H/S Fel Flame had to take
out 1st and 2nd pet. Maybe I was lucky, but it worked for me!

Sorry I don't have a lot of time just now to do fuller testing. I'll leave it here to investigate later. I just did this on my second shot with H/S Tiny Twister, Grinder, Pebble.

Call Lightning
Bash
Swap to Grinder
Quake, Rupture, Stone Shot until Grinder dies.
Bring in Tiny Twister
Call Lightning
Wild Winds
Finish with Pebble

There is definite RNG with the stuns, so I'm not sure this will work in general.

From Bursi on Wowhead, works ~95-99% of the time, depending on Wumpas's stuns on the Ominous Flame: (I didn't get any stuns, and killed Wumpas a turn early, so Flame was unable to Conflagrate on Baeloth, but Molten Corgi was -EASILY- able to finish it off either way)

This worked great for me. Ironbark lasted just long enough to down Thrugtusk and smack Wumpas a few times. Rest of the fight was a breeze after that.

This strat works great. You can also get one more free heal with your Teldrassil by delaying the last Ironbark vs Thrugtusk by 1 Turn and cast a Photosynthesis instead.
This might help surviving the first Water Jet.

after losing 20 times in a row and only getting 2 stun and being stunned right after quake , got mad and just went with 2 lumpy's and a grinder and just rupture quaked pebbled till i won , won on first attempt

Worked perfectly first time, Used lvl 23 lumpy, 25 fel flame and 25 PES. Did spells exactly as written, was super lucky to get the stun on the first try out of the gate, so no need to restart. I proceeded. My lvl 23 Lumpy did die of course, but I won the fight and got the Elemental family portion of the achieve DONE ! Thanks for this strat. I see others have alot of trouble, but wanted to add my verification that the strategy does work!

After a nnumber of attempts I managed to do it with the following setup.

Molten Corgi 2-1-1
Hatespark the Tiny 2-1-1
Electrified Razortooth 1-2-2

Turn 1 - Superbark
Turn 2-4 - Puppies of the Flame
Turn 5 - Flamethrower
Turn 6 - Superbark - Thrugtusk dies and your corgi has little health
Turn 7 - Wumpas kills you corgi
Turn 8 - (if Wumpas is burning? and he should still be) - Conflagrate
Turn 9 - Deep burn
Turn 10 - Flamethrower
about this time Wumpas goes to sleep again, so just finish him off with Conflagrate or Deep burn, depending on health.
Baeloth comes in and stuns Hatespark, just pass, then either Flamethrower or Conflagrate.
Hatespark dies.
Razortooth starts with Ligthning shield, then Rip, Blood in the Water.

I tried this but Wumpas always does a big charge then water jet after the sleep killing my hatespark before it can get of another conflag. *EDIT* okay I got that part down I think now to see if my Razortooth can kill the basilisk in time :(.

I'm sure I got lucky here and there, but between this strat and the 1st strat, I'm heavily leaning towards this one... Simply because the first one cost me 15+ tries and the secondary strat only 2 tries where the second was a succes. I used Grinder instead of Lumpy as was suggested and my Fel Flame is a H/S breed.

Used Hatespark along with Pebble and Grinder and actually managed. Hatespark had 2, 1, 1 and the other two had 1, 2, 2.

Led off with Pebble, used Rupture (half hoping for a stun, no stuns happened) then Quake. Filled in as I could before he died. Hatespark was second, and finished off Thrug with Flamethrower, then started spamming his two attacks that take advantage of burning enemies. Finished off Wumpas, then switched out when he got stunned by Baeloth. Quake, Rupture, whatever seemed good until Grinder died. Then back came Hatespark and the same tactic of set the world on fire and enjoy the flames.

I think Hatespark would have died in the next round, but it did work for me. Figured I'd share in case this helps anyone else.

I made it work with the strat, even though Rupture didn't stun. Just brought in the Earth Spirit after Grinder eventually died, and he took out the first two, and enough of the third for the Flame to finish off.

An alternate strategy if you're missing some of the recommended pets:

Teldrassil Spoutling --> 2, 2, 1
Fel Flame/Ominous Flame --> 1, 2, 1
Molten Corgi --> 2, 1, 1

As others have mentioned in these comments, Teldrassil Sproutling does a fairly fine job of taking on Thrugtusk with a combination of Ironbark and Photosynthesis (I also got in a Poisoned Branch in for fun). Whichever pet you happen to kill Thrugtusk with will most likely succumb to Wumpas who will Headbutt and Waterjet your first elemental pet to death.

I utlized Fel Flame to burst down Wumpas with Scorched Earth, Burn, and Conflagrate, but expect your Fel Flame to simply trade with the Wumpas or at the very least leave it below 150 HP.

Then bring in Molten Corgi and blast him down Flamethrower. This means that Baeloth has the Flamethrower burn as well as the Scorched Earth burn upon him all while your Molten Corgi is taking 0 damage wtih Puppies of the Flame. Then come back up and Flamethrower him again for the win.

Make sure your Fel flame has at least 281 speed. Ominous Flame is just fine with 289.

This strategy worked on the 87th try and it worked due to crits and stuns. But any strategy that needs 25% of 25% is doomed to fail.

OK this battle gave me all kinds of trouble. First, Fel Flame got owned and was useless. Earth Spirit was also pretty useless. The best solution I found was to replace all but the Grinder. I used Soul of the Forge first which for some reason seemed to avoid getting stunned by Thugtusk. His stoneskin allowed him to ignore the herd attack too. Then he just scorched and Deep Burned Thugtusk dead. He lasted 1 round against Wumpas though and Wumpas is a problem because of his aquatic attack. Grinder was my 2nd pet. Same attacks as here but the goal was to do as much damage as possible while Wumpas was sleeping and get him down fast. My last pet was the Stout Alemental. Explosive Brew, Bubble and Ale Bolt. I used Brew first, bubble to keep alive, then ale bolted until the brew finished off Baeloth.

I found Hatespark the Tiny to be awesome at this fight, beaten him easily with Pebble + Hatespark + Jademist Dancer as a finisher (any strong pet would probably do well there)

I'd actually recommend Lumpy here - he's faster than Thrugtusk , which will avoid the 50% chance to have rupture interrupted, and make it a little less random.
