I used a mire creeper, and followed as best I could swapping in pets manually and it worked first time (edited)

Updated with breed restriction on the Withering Creeper to make sure the Dark Phoenix Hatchling is swapped in properly as per the strategy.

The teams work, but the strat doesn't, probably based on the pets breeds. Wrong pet gets swapped in. Dark Rebirth doesn't save Phoenix. But, you can make it work if you bring in your Ashstone Core after Dark Phoenix dies in Turn 9. After Peachchick dies, you can follow the strat and pretty much get it. My Instability hit, so that was probably a plus.

Like someone else mentioned, the hatchling did not get swapped in and the creeper did around 5. However, you can still win by being smart although I did completely miss the rebirth. Still one shot so the pets were fine to use.

Completely incorrect strategy - probably related to breed. My Dark Pheonix didn't get swapped in during Round 3 and my Withering Creeper DID get swapped in during Round 5... The pet combination works just fine but don't try to follow the strat, the battle won't play out the way it's written here. (edited)

Worked first time although my Dark Phoenix Hatchling died early. I was lucky with Ashstone Core Instability.
