I did it with a Nexus Whelpling and Stormborne Whelpling, both 1, 2, 2. Had my Sprite Darter for backup but it wasn't needed.

I had problems with the Chrominius strategy. My backline pets kept dying and then he'd drop. I changed it up and used a Nexus Whelpling (2,2,2), Lil' Deathwing (1,1,1), and Chrominius (2,2,2).
1: Arcane Storm
2-4: Mana Surge (Foof dies)
5. Arcane Storm
6. Frost Breath
7. Nexus Whelpling dies, bring in Lil' Deathwing
8. Elementium Bolt
9. Call Darkness
10. Shadowflame (Stumpers dies)
11. Shadowflame
12. Shadowflame (Lil' Deathwing dies, bring in Chrominius)
13. Ancient Blessing
14. Arcane Explosion
15. Arcane Explosion
16. Arcane Explosion (you should now have Dragonkin buff on Chrominius)
17. Surge of Power (Lil' Sizzle dies)

Ended the fight and Chrominius still had half his health. Way easier and less frustrating, for me anyway.

Replace Arcane Blast with Arcane Explosion, that's what she meant from the start. Arcane Explosion damages backline pets and fits into the strategy perfectly.

For your back dragons I recommend ones that have higher health. Once the back pets die the breath can one shot your Chrominius.

There is some things worth noting in this... For one - the enemy backline pets MUST die at a time where Foof will be under 500hp (or get there the next round) and not about to use his heal after that. If your backline pets are dead, and Foof is allowed to use Dreadful Breath, it will most likely one-hit-kill your Chrominius.
