This strategy fails if CK-9's Shock and Awe stuns your pet. You could also use an Ominous Flame in slot 1; its burn attack is pretty strong against CK-9 if you swap it back in after turn 4.

If you're using Void Portal you shouldn't be stunned, and by the time Shock and Awe comes up again your Tinytron is likely going to die from it, and CK-9 should die, then, too.

This strat worked like a charm. Used Blazehound as my third pet. CK-9 cooked himself before getting to 3rd pet.
