The first round is random, after that this seems rather solid to me (i've tested like 4-5 times).

There is an element of randomness in this fight, due to the unpredictable moves of Bruce and especially Maws Jr.
But I have been trying this strat repeatedly, and it's never failed me. The timing of Blinding Poison is the most crucial element. It is to negate Chum's Megalodon attack. A good substitute for Fragment of Anger is Cursed Birman: Spirit Spikes, Prowl and Pounce in that order. Script thanks to dreamgarden |

This is a low success rate strat with much RNG. The only redeeming features are that it's fast and it uses mostly common pets. I used a BB blightbreath which has equal speed to the beast pets, but that only adds an extra layer of RNG. If you have a 2nd boneshard restart as soon as you miss 2 spikes in a row, it could save you some bandages.

I really struggled to get any of the other strategies to work so set about finding my own. As a general rule, what I've created has worked for me near enough every time.
There will inevitably be some RNG involved with the stun, darkness and crits etc. This meant sometimes my pets didn't die when I expected them to, particularly with them being undead. The middle bit of the fight seemed to be reasonably flexible in its ability to withstand enemy attacks. To make it succeed, the last prowl and subsequent spectral strike must hit. The speed return then allows an easy finish off. I've continued testing it and only lost one battle. The end of the Bruce fight and beginning of Maws Jr seems to draw the most changes so i've tried to list it as best I can but may require a little tweak during battle depending on your RNG.... Hopefully it'll help at least one person!! |

You may die too early if you're unlucky enough that Slicing Wind only gets single-hits for multiple rounds.

Due to the pets I chose to use and their abilities, the enemy pets are swapping in and out alot.
So just roll with the strategy as written below. Technically your pet in the 2nd slot could be any lvl 25 rare undead pet, so long as it has a ton of health. According to Rematch there are 13 undead pets in game that you can get as H/H breed, which my Blighthawk is. It was fun to constantly see the enemy pets swapping in and out. Sorry for any confusion that might cause. |

edit: it looks like you have to get Blighthawk slicing wind to hit 3 times both times, so 1 in 3 chance twice = 10.89% chance. The people that got this on their first try got insanely lucky or accidentally posted to the wrong comment section (edited)

(Turn 11 Slicing Wind, Turn 12 Consume Corpse)
like normal, BUT on Turn 13, skip the 2nd Slicing Wind + Go for Lift Off, this way you avoid the stun, and continue as suggested.

Chum - Spectral Spinner has to hit with Spectral Strike on a 50/50 chance (which seems to work like 20% of the time, Blizzard is doing a Hunger Games thing, the odds are never in your favor). Then Spectral Spinner uses blind in round 4 to avoid ALL aoe damage from Chum's Megalodon and just finish him off quickly (all Spectral Spinner breeds are faster than Chum's 260).
Bruce - Spectral Spinner should get a good few hits in, taking off around 500-600 of Bruce's health. Bruce uses his abilities randomly, sometimes he'll do Carpnado several times, it should hurt your Squirrel a bit, but not much. And of course, Bruce will use Bash, his stun, at the worst possible moment. Blighthawk MUST be able to kill Bruce without triggering Blighthawk's undead phase. This is made worse by Blighthawk's abilities doing very random damage, stacking RNG on top of RNG, but a Power/Speed breed should be able. Crits etc here will really mess things up. BTW, the reason for the P/S is cause it's the only breed faster than Maws Jr, the 3rd pet in the encounter.
Maws Jr - When this one comes in, you'll swap your Blighthawk for the Infected Squirrel. Even if the poor Squirrel is already hit a few times by Carpnado AND the Blood in the Water hits, it shouldn't be able to push you into undead phase immediately. Thus you should have 4 rounds (minimum) of squirrel time, and regardless, even 3 should work. Squirrel round 1 - is swapped in & and takes a hit to the face, round 2 - possibly gets swallowed whole & applies creeping fungus, round 3 - possibly "dies" & starts his Stampede, round 4 - undead round & stampede continues. When your Blighthawk comes back in, Maws Jr should have a shattered defense for another two rounds, and since your Blighthawk is the power/speed breed (273 speed), it should be faster than Maws Jr (260 speed). Thus if you just use Lift-Off right away, you'll be landing a hit for at least 1k damage without taking a single hit (and after that you still have the Blighthawk's undead phase).
I cannot say for sure where you fail, you tell me, but as stated, this fight is random bonanza. 80% of the time the first round Spectral Strike misses and I have to start over, and when it doesn't Bruce gets a crit in and my Blighthawk dies, failing the fight. All i can say is try again, it DOES work (eventually)!
After extensive testing, I managed to get my squirrel killed in his 2nd round, thus only allowing for 3 rounds (round 1 - enter, round 2 - creeping fungus, round 3 - stampede). It would still have worked except Blighthawk's Lift-Off was still on cooldown. You could consider using Lift-Off earlier vs Bruce, but after extensive testing (used a good 40 bandages just from failing in the first round), my conclusion is that this is a flustercluck, and you are right in the assumption that you must dodge the stun with Blighthawk. Sadly, I've found no pattern to ensure this...
