Echo what others have said; I have tried countless strategies only to fail to RNG. This one worked first time out with no issues. And yeah, already had the achievements but want ALL the trainers in all the families defeated. Thanks!

I had the strat in the comments on my other one, but I didn't even think of putting "Any Humanoid" with a note that it's Whomper until I saw someone else do something similar.
