It is correct that Drain Blood is not off cooldown on Round 16, so you have to use Alpha Strike first, then Drain Blood.
Also, no question, this strat has plenty of RNG. It has some intrinsically, but you are also bringing your own with the Sandstorm.
I tried twice. once with a P/P Shore Butterfly, and then with an S/S. I thought maybe an S/S might outspeed Dustie, but it doesn't, so any other breed would give you a better chance than S/S. Despite that, I lost the first, won the second when my Shore Buterfly survived longer than expected, and I got the chance to cast a second Sandstorm.
So the strat can work, but it's a roll of the dice. Also, towards the end, you may want to freestyle.
The Drain Blood misplacement should be fixed, but considering how difficult this battle is, the strat deserves better than one star. Grading on a curve, I'd say 3 would be fair.
P.S.
And BTW, Blizz, that flyer hovering around the tamer that attacks you while you're in range for the battle is unnecessarily annoying! (edited)
