You can use Alerte ! instead of Verrouillage. This is has more chance of failure (about 2% instead of <0.1%), a bit slower animations (IMO) but the advantage is that you might get a chance to end 3 rounds earlier. This worked easily for me, my Restored Revenant have survived everytime to make this work. I used Anubis as the third pet and only needed to use one move to finish of last pet. thanks

As of Feb.. 6/2021 I've been having issues with this strategy. I don't know if Blizz had altered something but I'm finding this very RNG heavy and it can take quite a few tries now.

Indeed, this is a fairly close battle for any strat, so if Blizzard changed something about the pets, it would likely affect every strat.

Please don't just leve a comment saying you had issues. There are several people who investigate reports of problems with strategies on Xu-Fu's. There are designated Strategy Curators, and other regulars who read comments and are interested in the latest.

In my experience, when people leave a short "It didn't work" note, they usually made a mistake. Maybe they used a pet with the wrong Speed, maybe they didn't do a Pass where it was indicated, sometimes they were even using the team and strat from a completely different battle. :)

Sometimes there genuinely is a problem with the strat. This is where the Curators and others come in, checking the strat for weaknesses, and fixing it or removing it if it can't be fixed.

Since most failure reports with no details are wrong, it's not good to waste people's time investigating them. Instead, help them by providing the information they need.

If the strat failed for you, and you want your comment to be taken seriously:

1. Specify EXACTLY which species and breeds you used. In this case, there are no alternate species and breeds, so not necessary in this case.

2. Specify whether you read the strategy from the site and executed it manually, or downloaded and used the tdScript.

3. Specify EXACTLY where the first unexpected thing happened, the first thing that deviated from what the strat predicts. What died too early? What didn't die when it was supposed to? What attack missed?

4. If possible, provide a log. You can see your log in the Pet Battle tab of your chat box. You can pull that out, make it bigger, screenshot it. Better still, you can use the addon Battle Pet Log Keeper from Curseforge, and do /pblk and Save Battle when the battle you want to log is complete.

Almost any strat can fail to a really unlucky string of crits, and some difficult challenge strats like the Family ones may fail more than anyone likes, but the people behind this site do their best to promote well-working strats. Do your part. Provide useful information.

OK, I've taken a look at ths strat. I see two possible failure modes:

1. Either Bloog's Mudslide or Burrow crits. If this happens, Revenant is brought to zero, and will cast Ghastly Bite in its Undead round, Instead of 2070 damage, it will do 75% of that, 1552. This will not kill Bloog, Bloog will be alive when the Sunreaver comes in, and the strat deviates. This should be about a 10% chance.

2, Bone Crusher stuns Revenant in its Undead round. Normally, Revenant will get Roar of the Dead off in its Undead round, but if it is stunned by Headbutt, it can't do that, and Sunreaver's Haywire will not kill Bone Crusher, and the stat deviates. This should be a 25% chance, and it happened to be on my third attempt.

Even of one of these happens, the strat will not necessarily fail if you have a strong third pet. You might manage to finish the battle anyway. If you kill Bone Crusher with Sunreaver at all, a double-counter to the flyer Chipper may well kill him even from full health. I had a P/P Nexus Whelpling in my third slot, and it finisned. I imagine an EPW or NFD could also carry it.

So there has been no change in the battle; it's just the RNG that was always possible.
