I managed to have River low enough, I kept the dragon in and used Breath to finish off the fight without bringing back Anubisath. Still Works well

Anubisath Idol is very good for this fight , but can complicate it with Sandstorm -10% accuracy. My script includes chance to miss and worked perfectly few times. Enjoy

I had a leveler pet in the 3rd slot. At one point while fighting the last opponent, while Sandstorm was up & both my non-Crush abilities were on CD & I was not about to be hit by a Dive or Whirlpool, I decided to swap to my leveler & back (after all, it's critter bonus event this week). Kind of a mistake, because it threw Anubisith out of turn order and Anubisith ended up dying. Then MPD died managed to kill River but then died to a Whirlpool in the same turn so all the XP went to my leveler. Let's just say I was lucky. I wouldn't recommend you try the same.

Shadowlands Beta:

I don't think what I encountered has anything to do with the Shadowlands changes, however my turns did not really line up after the MPD was brought in. The MPD did not last until the last pet, and the Idol had to finish Spirius off (Sandstorm wasn't up for the MPD, so it wasn't that).

I did this today. I used Benax (1, 2, 2,) as my third pet. Worked perfectly. Benax finished the fight with 89% HP and Anubisath Idol still had 98% HP.

This is very very bad strat. Taking into account that You can not restart the event and this was mine first fight, it basically ruined me whole week. You ought to write that in first fight You do not use sandstorm on CD, but use it a round after the CD so You overlap the change of weather by fish.

firstly, you can restart the event. simply right-click your character portrait and leave instance group then talk to the quest giver again and rejoin the event. secondly, you don't want sandstorm to override the cleansing rain the second time, because the damage reduction would only affect your pet's attacks (MPD) after the fish dies (since decoy will block your opponent's attacks until sandstorm wears off).

I forgot to swap messy but got it. Fish changed weather before he died and sand on cd, maybe better to save that. Dragon should have used his decoy better (my version) for the dive and whirl, but even then I did not need third pet.

Great strat. I had to use my 3rd pet so bring something with strong ability against elemental.
