This strat may work but there's too much RNG and it takes too long.

I refer to karibean's strat posted 12/9/2018;

"I used Dread Hatchling (shadow talon, call darkness, nocturnal strike), Direbeak Hatchling (falcosaur swarm, ironskin, predatory strike), and Snowfeather Hatchling (falcosaur swarm, crouch, predatory strike)".

This works very well. Use the same opening moves from Xu-Fu's first pet and take it from there.

Just keep trying, exactly as the guide suggest. Eventually it works. If Conviction before or on the same turn as Sunfire Kaliri, you've won. If Sunfire Kaliri dies before Conviction, restart.

As others have stated, RNGesus is the 4th enemy you will be facing in this battle. Took about 7 times to win but this strategy does win. Here is the script I wrote after the 5th fight. If Conviction does not die before your 2nd pet it is unlikely you are going to win in my experience.

This strat does NOT work AT ALL. Ten consecutive attempts and I'm Sunfire Kaliri is dead before I can even get Scorched Earth off due to the swapping of the owl.

Hugely RNG affected. Missed savage talon six fights in a row. Sunfire Kalari one shotted three times. The posted strategy did work however when RNG was kind.

My Dread Hatchling (2,1,1) soloed this fight right up until Dignity had 68 health left. Granted, Conviction did miss once because of Call Darkness. Either way, Dread Hatchling plus 2 other flyers as backup will do fine in this fight.

More than half of players DO have this pet and it is FREE and so easy to get now that you can convert game tokens to battle.net balance. It's $20 in the shop for the Draenor digital deluxe items. Literally not even two game tokens will get you this--less than 200k gold, my negative friend. Please refrain from being so rude in the future.

As Turimo said, you can use Firewing in slot 2 with Healing Flame as his third ability. Works exactly the same as other options.

This WORKS*. But you need to land 3 hits in a row at the start, each with an 80% chance to hit. And the third hit of those needs to deal 472 damage (pray for crit).

One of the major issues with the strat is that Conviction is a magic pet, and can't take more than 549.5 damage in one instance. Meaning that although the Kalirir (or Firewing or Firehawk) could normally just make this work cleanly, it breaks 90% of the time with Conviction just full healing itself.

But I don't see other strats and I'm too dumb to make my own. So I wrote a script to make this one work. It'll quit out if anything goes wrong at the start, so you can just zone out and let it brute force the job for you. Might take a big pile of attempts, but it does work.

Another thing is that the written strat wants to swap out the owl for the kaliri as an action, rather than letting the owl die. If you opt to try swap them yourself, the strat will almost certainly fail, with the Kaliri taking too much damage and losing the speed bonus (which you need).

I did some real dumb maths, and this strat (taking crits and enemy misses out of the equation) has about a 5-10% chance to work.
