This was extremely tricky to figure out, but seems like it's the least RNG out of elemental ones that don't require too hard to get pets.

There is a tiny chance it might work with any, even H/H Twister breed, but I can guarantee it'll take less time to go to old Arathi, find rare P/B twister and level it than to suffer 50+ attempts with other breeds.

This worked a lot better for me when I bothered to capture and level a PB Tiny Twister. Also used a HB Thundertail Flapper.

I got it to work using a H/S Tiny Twister (and a B/B Thunderfail Flapper), in Shadowlands.
However, everything worked fine until Maws Jr.'s death. I noticed my Thundertail Flapper could always kill Maws Jr., and that would cause Tiny Twister's early death, ruining the strategy. Not sure how much of this is breed related.

So, instead of finishing off Maws Jr. with Thundertail Flapper, I would say you HAVE TO pass and let Thundertail Flapper die. Then the strategy worked as described.

Hope this can help anyone in the same situation as mine!

I had a very close and similar experience to get it just now. H/P Tiny Twister and B/B Thundertail Flapper. Thankfully my Flapper and Maws Jr. died at the same time, and i was able to get the stun off before dying.

Had 3 wipes to group damage killing my corgi as the shark died, before the corgi even came out. Would have been better with any high HP Ele pet.

After many attempts with other teams. This one finally worked. The P/B Tiny Twister worked perfectly. This is till a very heavy RNG battle no matter the team.

Just an observation on your comments for the fight. The Molten Corgi is an IMPOSSIBLE to get pet. Did you have a different pet in there at one time?

Just wanted to say.. after about 100 bandages spent.. and all the strats tried... with no Molten Corgi I decided to try with S/S Forest Sproutling (1, 2, 2) in its place.. when everything from this strategy falls in place, instead of Corgi summon Sproutling, use Sons of the root, and end with lash.. this works only if every step up there works as it should... bye

The challenge here is that they don't *always* swap. So that leaves one of the sharks with about 600 hp facing your already-wounded Corgi.

I have to agree on most of the comments here. This strategy doesn't work anymore. I have tried it at least 40 times. Not the fault of the poster here, I think blizzard changed something so that this fight does not work.

I understand the sentiment, but for family-specific strats, having even bad-RNG alternatives available can help people, especially when all other alternatives have rare pets. Half of my early strats are exactly such strats: I didn't have the other pets so had to somehow make it work, no matter how horrible the RNG was.

I'm still currently working on this one, but there are SO MANY possible restart moments it feels impossible to complete. In 29 attempts, I've gotten to "Turn 2 Call Lightning Maws Jr. comes in and gets zapped hard" one time. In that one time my Thundertail Flapper was insta-killed by Blood in the Water.

I understand that this isn't the fault of the strategy creator, but Blizzard itself. Starting to doubt I'll get through this. :(

Another 10 or so tries and I finally got to the end, BUT Maws Jr was still alive (never killed by Tail Slap) and following the priority EXACTLY. There's nothing in the strat about what to do if Maws is still up.

Another worthless damn combo, but that's not fault of its creator. This is just a very poor design from Blizzard - an almost-guaranteed kill strike combined with stuns and heavy crits makes this one mostly pointless. My recommendation is that this one be skipped altogether for Family Battler. Again, no fault of Enbis'.

LOTS of RNG, but the instructions in this strat were really helpful & thorough. When I finally brought my Molten Corgi out while Call Lightning was active, I breathed an audible sigh of relief! My Tiny Twister is HS, not PB, with a speed of 289, so it can work with that breed, if RNG is on your side. I think it had ~120-150hp at the step where it says "Ideally you'll have Tiny Twister at 70 HP when Bruce dies," but even when it went down to 35hp it lasted like 6 more rounds. What a trooper!

You could have stated at very VERY start its rng shitshow and atop that more rng shitshow ... not saying your strat cant work but after 122 attempts .... well im pissed

Got this on 4th try with an HS Twister. The break down can happen if Maws Jr trashes beaver in 2 bites and Maws Jr is left alive with sufficient hp that Molten Corgi cannot kill both.

Ok this strat is just really off. I think someone needs to redo it. BIW always used and hits. When you use bash it studs and Bruce enters every time. So order this is way off.

maybe something has changed since the time I did it, but for me it worked, BiW was either a miss or it was absorbed by the beaver's avoid spell. Will have a look at it again if I get a chance.

In stead of a beaver i used a Jademist dancer (B/B)(not sure if it works for other breeds but thats what i had) (1,2,3) If you Geyser then rain dance and steam vent twice it will set up your twister for chum on its death. I found this was an easier than using the beaver.

Haven't tried it with the beaver - only thundertail H/B. If it doesn't work, maybe some other elemental that can block couple attacks (like bubble) would work instead of the beaver. Pretty much the key is heal and block, attack can be any. Something like ruby dropplet, perhaps?

I got to the end & was cheering but then Maws was still alive and I was teh sad. I have done this fight with PB twister probably 15 times now. Still the same team as on 12/16. I have droplet but not sure it's leveled. May wind up doing that or just go catch a flapper bc the beaver is not getting Maws dead - he keeps dying first.

I finally did it with the team above after about 35-40 attempts, not sure exactly how many as I tried the alternate strats multiple times as well, in all over 80 Battle Pet Bandages used plus Revive Battle Pets when available, truly the worst RNG pet battle I have come across so far, Good Luck all.

Unfortunately, there's very little to do about RNG :( Don't like it myself much, but this fight is essentially pure RNG and will take multiple attempts no matter what.

It's RNG, but on the win attempts, Corgi only has one shark to deal with: Chum. Ideally Maws should die at same turn with the beaver (or whichever elemental you feel like replacing the beaver with, I'm sure there are a few other options that can survive and avoid/heal couple hits).

Tried 40+ times now, does not work. Tiny Twister (P/B) only survives Bruce in one of 5 tries. If I get this far, my Thundertail (H/B) is mostly killed by Maws. I managed three times to get to the point of fighting Chum with Corgi and Lighning up. But the Pups never managed to finish Chum. Chum will even survive one Fire and then kill Corgi

Perhaps you used lightning too early or Twister didn't got it used on Chum, but on Maws instead? Try some other pet instead of the beaver, I'm sure there might be a better match, just couldn't find any (and it worked for me so I wasn't really going through all of them).

Thundertail survived to face Chum, who opened with Megaladon -- RIP twister before I could bring it out. The strategy depends on a lot of RNG, but I haven't found a better one yet.

As long as Call Lightning lasts for all of Corgi's pups, I guess it's about the same thing. Either way Twister will die to Chum's first attack and will be able to land lightning and winds.

Does not work, tried 10+ times. With Bash after Lightning Tiny Twister only survives Bruce, if Bruce does not stun it. If Tiny Twister luckily kills Bruce, Bash ist not up, and Tiny Twister will die after Lightning, so there will be no Lightning up later on when Corgi summons the pups...

The step of bringing in tiny twister when chum comes in makes zero sense as tiny twister will be destroyed by chum's first move. Maybe you've just worded it poorly? When exactly is tiny twister supposed to be brought back in and then also pull off 3 moves??????

How will it possibly get destroyed? All it supposed to do is stun Chum the moment it comes. Twister must be faster, otherwise it won't work.

If the flapper is still alive, and you swap to Twister, the Twister will not get a chance to use stun as Chum will get a free hit during the change. I'd suggest, if Flapper is still alive when chum returns, using dam, and try and sneak a swap in behind that.
And if Chun uses megalodon, it might not be enough anyway. RNG all over this fight.
That aside, if things work out, this setup will win, eventually.

There's no need to switch Twister in manually. If beaver is not killed by Maws, you'll likely lose anyway (unless you still have a beaver block ready to soak Megaladon).

If beaver is not dead and you need to swap in manually; use beaver dam before swapping.

this strat is highly RNG but it finally worked for me after getting the r/b twister and 5-8 tries

Might I suggest replacing the Molten Corgi with a 1, x, 2 Forest Sproutling with 273 speed. The strat works the same, but if Maws Jr. doesn't die against the beaver, the Multihit Lash with the still active thunderstorm will kill him, while Flamethrower wasn't able to do so everytime that happened to me. My HB Thundertail Flapper even got hit by Blood in the Water and it still worked.

But how do you have your Corgi up against Maws? If Maws still up once Beaver is dead, it's likely 1-shotted by Twister's Wild Winds. If not, Twister will die and whether Corgi will kill the remaining Maws or not, it'll be a loss. The idea is that Corgi won't have much but ~60% of Chum to deal with, because he gets a full set of stun+winds+lightning unleashed by Twister before it dies. Anything over than that is a sign to reset the fight.
Still, if somehow Forest Sproutling can fix that, it's all good :)

When HB beaver eats first blood in the water He lived with ~ 100 HP, continue with strat, whenhe dies, bash, wild winds, call lightning. Then continue with strat, forest sproutling does the same as corgi, but does considerable more damage to Maws Jr in the last round of call lightning. Corgi always died at that exact moment in every try I got there with it. Beaver never killed its target alone, even with P/P build. And sproutling even has a blockability in slot2 available in case you want to block blood in the water If you want to gamble

Listen to this comment. I tried for at least 40 as well, trained another twister and then finished. I also attempted 3 hours with different pets and didn't succeed until i got the PB tiny twister

Got PB Tiny Twister, and 100% failure rate. The real problem seems to be the wishful thinking of somehow bringing in the Tiny Twister when it has 70 hp at the same time as the Flapper AND Maws die. This isn't going to happen.

It can work with 70hp. Mine did. Flapper died (after dam, heal, slap x 3), Maw Jr. survives. Twister comes back; bash, call lightning, then it die.

Twister doesn't need any more than 70 hp (actually, 1 hp). Because it's faster than both Maws and Chum (and nothing is faster than Bruce). If beaver dies to Maws, there's only 2 outcomes: Maws is low enough for Twister to 1-shot with basic attack or it'll get hit and die no matter if there's 70 hp or half a health left. It will still get something like 800+ hits from Maws.

RNG, like anything in this fight. When Maws is still alive by that time and cannot be finished by one move, it's already a loss. Just repeat until it can be finished.

Anxiety was high before it's over, but finally won! Tried with HH Tiny Twister but doesn't work.This pet is from Old Arathi in the wild and not from new Arathi rares. I didn't realize this. Once I got PB breed I had to reset 4 times not to get stunned and things to go in my favor. By the time it was Corgi's turn he had about 500 hp and my heart sank. But he came through with 3, 2, 1. Maybe it didn't need a heal, but i wanted to be safe.

Only had a H/P twister and it was stars align RNG, but I got it done so thx. I tried with zephyrian prince and don't think it would work as it's a switch (which allows bruce to immediately act) vs. stun.

this strat isn't much better. "did you get stunned? you lost!" well, for HS twister anyways

went and caught me a PB, didn't really work much better... at least i could live through a stun! ... sometimes!

nvm, have seen every permutation of Bruce's move set, same thing, can't get crit, or stunned ever.

nvnvm, my rematch subbed in the old HS twister for some reason and i'm up way past my bed time, the PB breed worked on second try.
