The key to this fight with Humanoids, who mostly have weak attacks against beasts, is to chip away at Chitara's shell with multiple-round attacks, like stampede or rampage. I won this fight with a lot of trial-and-error and realise the pets are not the easiest to get, but for those who have them, at least here's a strategy that MIGHT work. Not saying it will 100%. Note: Chitara will almost always go first with a speed of 367.

I agree that it doesn't count, however I found that if I swapped Hogs with Squirky and did bubble, stampede x 2 with Squirky and then headbutt with Hogs it killed him dead. but yeah, doesn't count.

I think this works better when you do Squirky > Terky > Ancient/Corrupted Nest Guardian. Same strategy with the stampede. Cast extra plating (1) then cast Wind-up (2) two times and it will kill in 1 shot.
