I just tested this strategy with the pre-patch changes made. It failed the first time because Squirt was able to dive twice and kill my Flayer Youngling. It worked the second time. My Flayer Youngling was a HH and my NFD was PP (edited)

soloed with PP Nether Faerie Dragon, Moonfire up for first 2 pets, life exchange when needed, and fill with arcane blast. Definetly wait to life exchage until after the turtle dives

As far as I can tell it's better to fight on with the Nether Dragon until he dies. Take the big hit from the turtle when he surfaces and life exchange some time after that. The less health you have when you life-exchange, the better.

My breeds were P/B for the NFD, and P/P for the Flayer. The only things I changed were:

1. Moonlight > Arcane Blast.

2. Skipping Life Exchange and immediately swapping to the Flayer to use Deflection to avoid Dive.

The P/P, H/P, & H/H Flayers are going to be the only ones who have a coin toss on speed versus Squirt and Squeezer. Still, I got lucky on a few and managed to go first. I never needed to bring in my NFD against Squeezer.

I've been doing this with only Nether Faerie Dragon, as long as it's HP is less than your third pet, you should be fine. It might be breed specific, but I'm not totally sure.

This worked like a charm for me, but my Nether Faerie Dragon did die on the last enemy, so I added this to the code:

Very simple, but works like a charm. I've tested this a few times and I won all the times using this code.

Basically worked w/ P/B Dragon and H/H Flayer. Flayer died, but 1 hit from dragon finished things off.

Flayer Youngling against Squirt - it's good to use Deflection after Squirt uses Dive. No need to take that extra damage when you can easily use Deflection instead of doing nothing and just passing, or wasting a turn trying to use another ability.

A variation is to choose Evanescence over Life-Exchange , when 2nd pet comes in start with Moonfire, enemy will dive, counter with Evanescence, continue with Arcane Blast.
When 3rd pet comes in do Moonfire, then Arcane Blast away, when Moonfire available use it.... did not even have to deploy Flayer Youngling

The breed of the Faerie Dragon/Sprite Darter DOES matter. If the speed is <260, Squirt will go first the round where you do Life Exchange. If exactly 260, it's a toss-up (which is especially bad, because you have to burn it in case you go first).

My Nether Faery Dragon was P/P and my Flayer Youngling was HP, the Flayer died before expected but i just needed to use the Nether Faerie - Arcane Blast until third enemy died.
