Prior to 8.1, it did offer a whole lot more pet XP than it does now. If you want XP, gotta go back to prior expansion content.

It's not worth using a level pet. This isn't a medium xp fight, it's low. With a safari hat AND the 200% bonus from the Sign of the Critter event, my lvl 8 went to a lvl 9.

Sweet strat! I made a revised script that's a little more efficient, it only uses Moonfire if the weather isn't already Moonlight, and it'll save some time in cases where your sprite darted/NFD survives long enough by not using howl when chrominius can finish off Brite with an unbuffed SoP.

My lvl 6 Guardian Cobra hatchling was also killed. I would have been fine if quills had only hit twice but rng got me and it hit a third time, killing my carry pet.

Your leveling pet should only be able to be hit by Cyclone because you can switch it out without attacking after your first pet dies.

Like OP's script doesn't work if you are using NFD and not SDH. I tried doing a quick and dirty search and replace but it was breaking on the swap in other places as well.

The strategy itself though was quick and painless.

Because the script wont work when using NFD instead if SDH. Using pet slots instead of names when the team has substitutes is better.

I followed this exactly, with a level 8 leveling pet, and my pet died before the end of the battle, so maybe the leveling pet should be a little higher level?
