In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

The above team and the supplied script worked first time for me with an Ominous Flame (PS) and Electrified Razortooth (BB), did not need to use 3rd pet

VanyaMia

scritto il 2021-08-14 09:48:23

Same. My Razortooth died as he won but the Pup just ate a bone and watched at Retch died.

DragonsAfterDark

scritto il 2018-04-18 20:46:16

Finally got this to work! Core Hound Pup (2,1,2), Stout Alemental (2,1,2), Molten Corgi (1,1,1)
Core Hound Pup: Howl, Burrow, Thrash (I could never get a second Howl off)
Stout Alemental: Bubble, Barrel Toss x 2
Molten Corgi: Superbark, Bark

I don't recall getting any crits, but I almost cried when this combo worked, as I don't have a razortooth.

DragonsAfterDark

scritto il 2018-04-18 21:00:55

To clarify, I didn't get any crits, and I don't think Retch did, either. Ran it again just to check. If you can get a second Howl off, go for it! If your Alemental survives the second Barrel Toss, use Inebriate. It can save you a hit from Retch on your Corgi. Only thing that messed this up for me was on one additional run he murdered the Corgi's face on the first hit. Other than that this worked for me. Hope it helps!

Kramel scritto il 2018-06-24 17:48:42

This strat worked for me, but it depended on Core Hound Pup's Thrash getting 2 hits ("hits 1-2 times"). Every time that I only got 1 hit from it, I could never quite make it, but with two hits, success! Thanks for the useful strat.

I didnt have a corgi (which btw, any corgi will work) but I had Grumpy levelled to 24. Corgies, Grumpy, Brutus, and Scraps all have the superbark ability. Worked great for me with no crits, and a 24 Grumpy... Great strat. Should list it above.

Scratch that, just realized grumpy isnt elemental LOL

Just wanted to tell DragonsAfterDark that his is the only non-razortooth strategy that worked and I tried a LOT of others. Thanks!

Balorog scritto il 2018-03-18 09:11:33

I've used Core Hound Pup 2-1-2, Electified Razortooth 1-2-X and Tiny Bog Beast X-2-2.
Easy first shot :)

Anonymous scritto il 2018-04-27 02:57:10

Would have been slightly more helpful to know what order of moves you used, but I managed to use this team to beat it after a couple of tries. Not sure if my razortooth's Blood in the Water critting was what did it, but it certainly didn't hurt.

Anonymous2 scritto il 2018-07-28 02:19:23

One shot it with that comp. Howl, Burrow, Thrash, Thrash (dead), Rip, Blood in the Water, Devour (dead), Leap, Rampage.

confirmed that worked 1st try thx

AlisonC scritto il 2018-10-05 17:41:52

I used the proposed team but didnt have Ominous Flame so I used Molten Corgi as others suggested but opened with - Superbark, Bark, then Puppies, and then Superbark again. Followed the rest of the proposed strat for a one-shot

Can replace Electrified Razortooth with Stout Alemental. Follow same strat but use Bubble, Barrel Toss x2, then Inebriate until death. I think it made the fight go a little faster, I didn't need to use Thrash at the end.

Tsoonami scritto il 2017-09-01 01:59:50

I successfully took him down with a line up of (in order)
Core Hound Pup
Molten Corgi
Cinder Kitten

The key is getting two howls off on the Core Hound so the fight goes:

1. Howl
2. Burrow
3. Thrash (ideally two hits)
4. Howl (if you don't get a second howl, best to restart)
Bring in Molten Corgi
1. Superbark
2. Bark until dead.
Bring in Cinder Kitten
1. Leap
2. Claw

After trying combinations of different strats (I don't have the razortooth), this one worked! I didn't even need Claw on the Kitten. Thank you!

Cernunnas scritto il 2017-09-23 08:33:09

I didn't have a leveled Ominous Flame, so I used a P/P Stout Alemental (2-2-2). Won flawlessly by using bubble and barrel tossx4

Anonymous scritto il 2017-09-29 13:32:25

worked great! Thanks!

kess scritto il 2017-09-29 14:01:10

Kessyra scritto il 2017-10-05 13:07:44

Took a slight risk with a lvl24 Ominous Flame. Worked! Didn't even need Thrash at the end. :)

Bobbi scritto il 2017-10-29 10:34:55

This was definitely a challenge.
I mixed also.
Electrified Razortooth 1/2/1
Stout Alemental 2/2/2
Core Hound Pup 2/2/2
- Rip, Blood, Devour (dies)
- Bubble, 2x Barrel Toss, Explosive (very likely dies before usage)
- Burrow, Thrash

JacktheKnife scritto il 2017-10-18 13:58:43

Succeeded with the pets I have - 1 shot - with Ominous Flame 222, Electrified Razortooth 121, Stout Alemental 222

Schahmaar scritto il 2017-10-02 08:05:51

Did a mix out of all nice suggestions which worked quite nice for me:
Electrified Razortooth 1/2/1
Stout Alemental 2/2/2
Molten Corgi 1/1/1
- Rip, Blood, Devour (dies)
- Bubble, 2x Barrel Toss, Explosive (very likely dies before usage)
- Puppies, Superbark, Bark

Worked for me as well

Chamunda scritto il 2017-10-11 20:20:28

THANK YOU !!! I needed the option as I do not have Ominous Flame as of yet. This worked flawlessly.

Steve scritto il 2017-10-12 08:23:36

Tried others above and this is the first one that worked for me

Tiny Bog Beast: Leap till dead
Core Hound Pup: Howl, Burrow
Molten Corgi: Puppies of the Flame, Superbark, Bark

Mnejing scritto il 2017-09-12 23:04:02

Worked first time. Spammed Rampage instead of Leap, but I figure both work.

Sigyn scritto il 2017-10-02 07:26:23

Worked for me on 2nd try. Thx

Tranmere Fan scritto il 2017-09-11 07:34:07

Just did this battle 2 tries, Ominous Fame (P/S), Razortooth (B/B), with Fetid Waveling (H/B), did Corrosion followed by Ooze Touch. Barely made it, but 2 tries only needed. Followed main stra for first two pets, failure was razortooth, not getting the Devour.

cat scritto il 2017-09-29 23:19:22

Thanks! Didn't have a Core Hound Pup (like a lazyass), worked great for me second try also.

ahote scritto il 2017-09-01 14:27:30

here is another strategy; it is a close fight. (might take 2 tries if he hits hard)

tainted waverling (2,1,1)
Electrified Razortooth (1,2,1)
molten corgi (1,1,1,)

acidic goo
poison spit until waverling dies
rip
blood in the water
rip until death
corgi comes in
super bark
bark

that should do it

Ryn scritto il 2017-09-02 12:36:31

Your strategy worked for me except I struggled to get the kill at the end. Instead of using bark after Super Bark, I had to use Puppies of the Flame to survive as rip ticked him down. Everything else worked perfectly :)

Dubhglas scritto il 2017-09-21 15:02:05

I had the same issue at the end, took me about 4-5 tries so it wasn't bad. Used puppies of the flame first to let rip trickle him down a little bit, although in retrospect probably coulda superbarked first to get an extra in after puppies.

Yewfire scritto il 2017-09-12 06:00:25

Worked first time. Thanks!

Coton scritto il 2017-09-20 19:23:43

Yes, this was the only combination that worked for me. I tried many and had to level up my Ominous Flame to get this one done!

Jax scritto il 2017-08-30 15:20:36

Had lots of difficulty with this one, but I swapped Scorched Earth in for the second Spiritfire Bolt and it ended up getting the win - Any critical hits from Retch and you need to restart, though.

Gersh scritto il 2017-08-31 02:45:45

Wow this made it so much easier, finished with 1000 health left on third pet.

Thanks, I adapted the strat to this :-)

Vill scritto il 2017-08-31 13:14:47

Core Hound Pup - does not work for Alliance /cry - used Cinder Kitten and just got through, phew

Aranesh

scritto il 2017-08-31 13:17:19

The core hound pup is for adding an authenticator :-) Everyone can do that!

Vill scritto il 2017-08-31 13:22:10

aha, shows up as red - so thought it was Horde only. You live and learn. Many thanks

Anonymous scritto il 2017-08-31 19:51:58

Not everyone can do that
it is simply not possible for everyone, so it would be really great if you could note an alternative.

Aranesh

scritto il 2017-09-01 05:12:56

When someone comes up with one, gladly. The core hound pup is however a pet with a rather unique attack for its family and therefore very useful, especially for these family fights.

Anonymous scritto il 2017-09-02 13:22:52

Instead of the Core Hound Pup substitute the Cinder Kitten (1-2-2), Follow the basic strat given. When Core Hound Pup is suppose to enter, Use your Cinder Kitten - Leap then Claw. Happy battling!

Anonymous scritto il 2017-09-13 13:25:47

I was just coming here to put this; worked perfectly without having to lvl another pet!!

Fluffyrock scritto il 2017-09-01 20:37:51

I didn't have all of the pets for any of the strategies posted here, so I experimented a bit and came up with something that isn't fail-proof but I managed to kill him twice with this setup.
Electrified Razortooth(1-2-1), Cinder Kitten(1-2-2), Core Hound Pup(2-1-2).
Razortooth:
Rip
Blood in the Water
Devour (your pet will die after this round)
Kitten:
Leap
Claw (your pet dies after this round)
Pup:
Howl
Burrow

My kitten was oneshot a lot of times with other tactics so you might have to restart the fight if that happens.

Jackieleggss scritto il 2017-09-13 01:17:14

Thank you! This worked after a couple tries. Not nearly as frustrating. Though I switched Claw to Rend for the Cinder Kitten.

Auroya scritto il 2017-08-30 11:49:10

This is Hazelnuttygames' strat...but I changed the last pet :) I didn't have the first 2 pets so found this alternative.
Used Core Hound Pup (1-2-2)
Tiny bog Beast (1-2-2)
Cinder Kitten (1-2-2)

CHP:
Howl
Burrow
Thrash
Howl (You have to cast this, otherwise restart)
TBB:
Rampage
CK:
Claw
Claw

You can't get crit at all, but since you only need it once a few tries is alright imo :)

Miyka scritto il 2017-08-30 01:20:09

I ran this one 5x before I got the win. It seems that Retch does crit a lot on the Electrified Razortooth a bit and will cause this team to wipe, if RNG is bad. I was able to get the win on it thou! Thanks.
