Almost didn't work. Ikky got wrecked instantly before he could even get to flock. Thankfully my third pet was an Alarm-o-Bot. Used Haywire and Alert! to finish the fight.

Managed it with a few alterations. Took Unholy Ascension instead of Haunt, then added a Shadow Slash between CoD and UA (as previously mentioned). Used Zandalari Kneebiter as third pet and finished the fight with Hunting Party.

Turn 1 Curse of Doom, Turn 2 Shadow Slash, Turn 3 Haunt.....Ikky comes in and follow the rest of the script. This works every time and the strat should be updated to reflect the addition of Shadow Slash on Turn2 :) Otherwise the strat is good.

I win every time with a Darkmoon Zepp 112 and Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling 122. Use Bombing run, Decoy and spam missle. When Zepp dies bring in Dragonline and use Thunderbolt, Decoy and spam Breath.

half the time my ikky cant get off a flock, so I added in the shadow slash at the beginning and it seems better. Ill test it today on my 15 chars :)

I did not have Ikky so I used Hollo's recommendation with a variation:
Unborn - Curse of Doom, Slash, then Haunt
Zandalari Anklerender - Black Claw, Hunting Party - Zandy dies
Gilnean Raven - Alpha Strike for the win

I wanted my Direbeak out so I could work on "Direbeak Team Up" and I wanted flying pets. My direbeak went out first, and I used ironskin. I swapped for my Gilnean Raven and used darkflame then nevermore. After the raven died I brought in Ikky, used black claw and flock and Ruinhoof died on my first try.

Agreed that this strat is at best risky. Hoof will hit Ikky for 494-696. Chew will hit Ikky for 691. That adds up to 1135-1387 damage. Ikky has 1319HP, so may well die before starting Flock.

I haven't done the arithmetic, but I think that Hollo's recommendation to cast a Shadow Slash before Haunt is more accurate. Since the Valk Haunt happens before the Chew damage in that case, it should be safe.

Aquatic i managed with a bit of rng Aqua Strider 122, Benax 121 and bleakwater Jelly 112

started with pump jet rain then pump (had to restart of he got a crit on me). switched to benax - bubble, flies then water jet. finished with squeeze and tentacle slap.

i swapped the aqua strider to snarly using rip, blood in the water and water jet in that order and got enough damage for the others to finish him off

Have a Zandalari Anklerender as backup in case Ikky dies. For me Ikky died right after he casted Black claw, so I brought in the Anklerender, and used hunting party riding on the back of Ikky's black claw application.

Critter: I used three snails, all Ooze Touch, Acidic Goo and Dive. Just keep up Acidic Goo and Dive when he doesn't have the chew buff. Ooze when you don't need to refresh Acid or can't dive.

I didn't have enough zandalari raptors, so I subbed in a Clefthoof Runt 2.2.2 and a Jumping Spider 2.1.2. I was able to chain the debuff/buff sequence down to the last swarm. You want your spider to have as much health as possible to soak the last hit. I used an H/B, which has 1384 hp. I won both tries, but with a P/P twilight spider (1237 hp) I lost every time. If Ruinhoof crits on the last hit, you may lose no matter what. So, this totally works, but is a bit RNG heavy.

I tried this for the mechanical group mechanical melee achievement.
Darkmoon zep-1,2,2 decoy, then explode
iron starlet- 1,2,1 toxic smoke, supercharge, windup, windup
lifelike mechanical frost boar 1,2,2 pig out, head butt.
I only did this once, and it seemed easy. good luck!

I had the same problem Squish did. Ikky died before being able to use flock. Thankfully I was able to beat it with the teroclaw hatchling.

Either the fight changed or this strat is missing a step. Doing this as listed, Ikky dies before he gets to go with Flock. I ended up having to use Shadow Slash first before I started following the guide.

MPD 1,2,2, and a Darkmoon Tonk 1.1.2 worked for me.
Ion cannon did 672 damage might want to have ruinhoof below that before you use it
Had a 3rd Mechanical for the Mechanical Melee achievement but didn't need it.
10 rounds total
