RNG heavy, 9 out of 10 times either Mischief or Kneebitter will die early from being hitted 3 times by Slicing winds and you will lose the fight

Worked for me with some RNG. Had a Dreadmaw (B/B) which manages to get in the Deep Burn if Gloamwing only hit twice (without crit) on that round. Also, I had to use Agri once more at the end. Was close but worked. Cheers!

Cinder Pup 2/x/1 brought this strat to a whole new level. Gloamwing was dead before he even cast void gate to bring in xu-fu for the moonfire. Still RNG involved, but I think relying on RNG is unavoidable for a number of pet families on this fight. 5 bandages.

Cinder pup as second pet worked great for me. Got it on the first try. Just put up the volcano, then do basic attacks until it gets swapped. Then the black claw and hunting party will do the rest. I got lucky and got a stun out of it too!

if predatory strike crits mischief doesn't live long enough to get that fel emmolate off. happened twice in a row. even without the crits mischief barely survives to get off the emmolate 34 HP). kneebiter twice didn't live long enough to get off a hunting party. (edited)

So started with Xu fu
get swapped to python, use 1 poison, use other poison, die
kneebiter comes in and use black claw and then hunting party

After multiple trips to the AH, more gold spent than I want to calculate, and many pet charms creating and leveling rares, this is the one that FINALLY worked.

Needed to try twice, as first time my snake died before the second poison, but second time did it, and that's not bad after handfuls of attempts with other strats.

Strat worked great.

If you don't get the second poison off you won't beat him. If the python gets crit, he wont survive to use the second poison.

Put this strategy up on the board! There is a little bit of RNG in the sense that my python died before the second poison but restarted fight and second time was fine.

First try, does not require bought pets, and can be done with lots of breed variation. This should be the FIRST strat.

Has to be the best one yet. Tried quite a lot and this one definitely takes the cake! Only RNG is when Python comes in and you have to pray that he doesn't get a crit and/or 3rd hit of his attack. I got mine done on 2nd try.

This one worked at first time for me. After hours trying... My elder python was "green" and not blue quality. Definitively the best strat for me. Fight ends with Xu-Fu 81% life.

Used xufu to take first hit
Then when on kovok (1,x,1) - use poison and black claw then die
Kneebiter - hunting party then leap.
Xufu and kneebiter alive.

Restart if kovok dies, it need to use to black claw

Worked on the third time. The first two times, Mischief died before getting to cast Fel Immolate. Success included RNG being kind enough to let my Kneebiter deal the killing blow!

It took a number of attempts because I didn't have a 25 porcupette, but I finally put Ash Lizard in the first spot with quick attack which goes first, so he was able to get an attack in first, and then two more as the last pet in his second time up. That finished beasts for me.

I do not have Mischief, but I do have Twilight. Drain Power and then Spore Shrooms. Rest of the strat as written above. Works, but with less than 100 hp left on Xu-Fu.

I used a slightly adjusted strategy, pulling in Kovok (1-x-1) in place of Mischief (since some may have not chosen to buy the In-Store pet). Fight went like this:

Xu-Fu, pass. Kovok forced in.
Poison Fang
Black Claw
Pass. Kneebiter forced in.
Exposed Wounds.
Hunting Party.
Pass. Kneebiter dies. Xu-Fu forced in.
(Gloamwing died from the dots here; but Xu-Fu was prepared to drop a Moonfire to end the fight.) :)

Quick edit: Typo: I utilized a Footslasher (P/S), not a Kneebiter for exposed wounds. So the modified strategy actually swaps out 2/3 pets.

This strat does not work and cannot work. Mischief loses over 1/2 his health with the first attack. When he casts Foreboding Curse, even if Gloamwing manages to get only two attacks off, Mischief cannot survive long enough to cast Fel Immolate.

Every one of these strats is any good, VERY heavily RNG dependent. Tried finding one myself, but this fight is a pain in the rear for beasts!

Tried 6 times but failed every time....
Really really RNG based since you cannot have any crits on Xu-Fu and/or 3 slicing winds hits on any pet.

Worked well second try, first time Xu Fu didnt survive to get Moonfire off, Feline had 46 hp left at the end. This should be an alternate strat, but you may have to restart once or twice

This was my experience too. I used a P/S Kneebiter and got it first try, after having tried 14 times with the preferred strat. I think they should be reversed and this one given priority (although I do realize that Mischief, being a purchased pet, might preclude that.

I used Twilight (211) instead of Mischief. Follow the above strat with Turn 2: Spore Shrooms and Turn 3:Twilight Fire.
