Strategy updated 13 August 23 with new pets, but the same essence of the original strategy, to reduce RNG. Your pets must complete all the steps outlined below. If they die before they can, restart.

Low XP
At least one of the pets for this strategy require the use of a specific breed.
RNG
Not every strategy can be bullet proof. This is one of them. You might have to restart it, since there are some random elements that increase the risk of your pets failing. Don't blame them, please!
This strategy is using pets obtainable from the Wow Trading Card Game (TCG) or the auction house for potentially high sums of gold.
This strategy is using pets obtainable only from the WoW In-Game Shop for Battle.net Balance or real money.
You can use this strategy to carry a low level pet to give it experience.
Some instructions are more difficult to follow than others. That's exactly what you might find in this strategy!
The strategy offers a Script that can be used with the Pet Battle Script addon. You can copy the script by clicking on the button to the left of the pets.
At least one pet in the strategy cannot be obtained anymore. If you have it, congrats!
A Strategy Curator found this strategy to be especially helpful and higlighted it with this tag to give it more exposure.
In Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the ability Time Bomb has been changed. This tag is marking strategies using Time Bomb so they can be reviewed.

First 2 attempts failed due to Fel Pup dying before getting off Immolate. Won on the 3rd attempt.

standby [round=1]
use(Vengeance:997)
use(Fel Immolate:901)
quit [round=4 & self(#2).dead]
standby [round=4]
use(Black Claw:919) [!enemy.aura(Black Claw:918).exists]
use(Hunting Party:921)
use(Moon Fang:978)

If your Fel Pup keeps dying, try an Elder Python (2,1,1) instead. Use Sting and then Poison Fang, rest as the guide suggests.

Lockrocks wrote on 2017-12-03 10:47:48

I used this and it worked perfectly. Moon Moon didn't even get swapped back in.

Yep. My pup kept dying but this worked and I also didn't need moon moon at the end.

Wreathy wrote on 2017-12-27 22:02:43

Perfect!

Stellabelle wrote on 2018-01-01 12:14:57

Thanks, they Python worked perfect!

Great strat fel pup kept dying so tried elder python succeeded at first try ;)

This! Fel Pup only has a small chance to survive if Slicing Winds hit only once. Your recommendation worked first try. Kudos!

This still works in SL, but took me a few tries because of the RNG.

Erosis#1160

wrote on 2020-10-07 00:25:39

This is beatable with P/S Anklerender (until Shadowlands prepatch).

Emerald wrote on 2017-12-16 23:05:14

Xu-Fu: x-2-x
Summit Kid: 2-x-2
Feline Familiar: 1-x-x

Heavily RNG

1: Pass
2: Chew
3: Stampede (if dies, restart)
4: Kid dies, Feline entered
5: Onyx Bite
6: Onyx Bite (if dies, restart)
7: Feline dies, Xu-Fu enters
8: Moonfire

Could not get original strat to work at all. This one worked first try. requires only 2 slicing winds for this to work so RNG

Alex#2772

wrote on 2019-10-06 23:00:45

Took a couple attempts but it worked in the end, even with a slower anklerender than suggested. (edited)

GLRob

wrote on 2018-08-11 14:17:07

I used an S/S Zandalari Kneebiter (2/2/x) since I didn't have the S/S Anklerender. I also didn't have Moon Moon so I put Xu-Fu in, but he didn't even get a chance to attack before Gloamwing died to Hunting Party.

TD Script

ability(#3) [ ! enemy.aura(Black Claw:918).exists & ! self(#1).active ]
ability(Fel Immolate:901)
ability(#1)
quit

May the RNG be ever in your favour.

Got to get lucky twice but I didn't have the pets for the original strats

Direhorn Runt 1-2-1
Summit Kid 2-x-2
Feline Familiar 1-x-x

Trihorn Charge (its ok if this misses)(Summit Kid gets pulled in)
Chew
Stampede (Reset if Summit Kid dies) (Direhorn Runt pulled in)
Primal Cry
Stampede(Reset if Direhorn dies)(Feline Familiar pulled in)
Onyx Bite

Cinder Pup 2-x-1

Blinkstrike
Cinder Pup comes in
Flame Breath and Volcano
Zandalari pet comes in

tess wrote on 2017-10-08 01:08:45

Did as above but used P/S anklerender and worked first try

Zarria wrote on 2017-11-23 17:11:48

Mine was also P/S and took 3 tries, but worked eventually. And the fail was due to rng, not because of the breed.

Navarth wrote on 2017-11-26 03:21:52

This worked perfectly after a few tries. The randomness was because of slicing wind, if the cinder pup can't get volcano off, restart.

wrote on 2018-01-07 07:49:15

works, even with lvl 23 runt

XinaElise wrote on 2017-10-15 00:06:59

Used Thaumaturgical Piglet 2-0-2 Mischief 0-1-1 and zandalari kneebiter P/P 2-2-1 i tried several other suggestions from here w/ no luck honestly i believe its just rng on its 2 or 3 attacks and ur chance of criting but this set up worked well turn 1 pass mischief curse fel immolate kneebiter caw leap and party then piglet dash gg

tresser#1139

wrote on 2017-11-17 15:36:57

this worked for me eventually. took 3 tries, but you are right about the RNG behind 1-3 attacks. just gotta hope for anything but a crit or 3 attacks

Morya wrote on 2017-10-27 01:43:58

Here's what worked for me. I used S/S Nether Faerie Dragon, Vengeful Porc and S/S Zandalari Kneebiter. Started off with dragon getting zapped, then Porcupette comes up, spirit spikes and powerball. Not that effective, but whatev. In comes Kneebiter, Primal Cry (which knocks gloamwing back to being slower than both kneebiter and dragon), black claw and hunting party 1X till dead. In comes Faerie Dragon, Moonfire and Arcane blast, and Gloamwing is dead.

Lixalee

wrote on 2017-10-30 22:36:36

Nether Faerie Dragon isn't a beast. :)

Melancolie wrote on 2017-10-26 11:45:00

If you have a couple Vengeful Porcupettes, they can wack it with Spirit Spikes so easy.

Rades wrote on 2017-10-16 21:33:07

My Fel Pup could never survive, so I used Fel Piglet instead. Round 2 Headbutt, Round 3 Fel Immolate, rest was the same.

Jeack wrote on 2017-10-14 22:29:43

You can use just about any pet for the first pet. I didn't even use mine thanks to finally getting goo RNG (8th try btw...). I was using Feline Familiar > Moon Moon because she also has a magic ability (onyx bite), and FF is way more common to have (and good in many battles)

Feline Familiar (1,x,x)
Fel pup (2,2,2)*
Zand Anklerender (2,2,2)**

* Fel pup must not die in it's second round. If it dis before you immolate, forfeit.
** Must be S/S as stated in strat above.

Verges wrote on 2017-10-13 09:31:15

Works fine for me with a P/B Anklerender. Same issue as all the Mac'Aree fights, RNG dice roll on restarting for any crit or multiple hit; got lucky on this one!
