Managed to down him with bandicoon (2,2,2) instead of Frostfur rat. (counterstrike on cd with powerball).

The script didn't work for me. I think it's the "(Call Darkness:256)" on an enemy with low health. This is the script I used:

I used Shimmershell in 1st and Zoom in last position, as both have the strongest moveset for the job required. (Shimmershell killed Coach with its first Ooze touch)

Works! My two snails are B/B and H/B. Tried with my 23 Frostfur Rat and almost got it on first try. Swap with a lv. 25, Blind Rat B/B and was piece of cake. The second snail only did dive.

Worked for me, 3rd snail finished with almost full health, using what i call the ChiChi rotation, keeping up Acidic Goo always, using Dive on CD and Ooze every other time. I heart my snails : )

Did the job slightly different but same critters. The proper above strat above looks better.

Rapana whelk (1,2,1), Blind rat (1,1,2) and silkbead snail (2,2,1).

Started with rapana with dive. Murkey swops with bird. Bird takes the hit.
Use shield then ooze until both dead.
Bring in rat and use crouch, call darkness. Then sneak attack and crouch/darkness when off cd. Foe dead.
Use what you can with murky until rat dead.
Last snail use shield then absorb until murky tries to lift off. Dive then absorb until dead.

Silkbead Snail (H/S) took down Coach and went up until His Greatest Foe had about 80% HP. Then Frostfur Rat (H/P) - took down His Greatest Foe and had some HP left to bite Sir Murkieston. Rapana Whelk (B/B) finished the fight with about 50% HP left.

You are a LIFESAVER. I tried the main strat 30 times and it didn't work until I went out and farmed/leveled a S/S rat, upon seeing your comment. I luckily had a S/S bunny already (Darkmoon Rabbit works, too!) and I was in disbelief when I won on the first attempt.. after so many hours of stress. Thank you SO much for your input!!!

Tried this and got beat pretty soundly on my first try.
Second try I swapped the first snail to "ooze touch" and coasted through the fight

This strategy works best with Scooter the Snail in slot 1. He's got enough health to finish off Coach, which prevents the Frostfur Rat from having to take a dive to the face. Dive + Falling Murlocs is no bueno... :)

This should be a"skull" fight. Never managed to get it withthe 2xsnail-rat team, and I got somewhat luckier with Lycah's proposal below, to use Nibbles. with whom I had some nice RNG. Still, I ended up with last snail with 11HP...

This is unworkable, if a specific breed is needed to accomplish this it should be noted. I have done 15 pet battles and none have won, some close but I wish I could downvote this.

not working.. useless strat unless you got the right breeds cause my snail ALWAYS kill the bird also a crit of murk or a single crit/triple hit of coach and you have to restart.

Worked fine, but you have a typo there - after killing Coach and bringing in the Frostfur Rat you still speak about Coach, but it should be Greatest Foe.

This substitution worked very well for me. I believe the most relevant ability in this set up is getting your critter to Crouch as quickly as possible to mitigate the damage of Sir Murkeston's Falling Murloc nuke. I also used 3 snails with 2 1 1. Saved Dive for the opponents' big moves, kept up the Goo buff and just Absorbed in the meantime. Maybe just lucky RNG.

Nibbles (2,2,1) is good against Sir Murkeston, I used 2xsnails and him and finally won. I know everyone probably doesn't have Nibbles though - I used him because my Zoom isn't leveled yet.

Strat worked great other than some RNG with the first snail. If Murkeston's first hit is a crit, or if Coach crits or gets several 3-hit abilities, you really need to reset and start over. But after Coach is dead, smooth sailing.
