While Rogo is much, much better for backline healing, I've found out Lanciafiamme adds a little more stability, as dropping a DoT later means it smoothes out the Vampata's RNG. You can use Rogo first cast only, but you will risk Gyrexle healing out because Failsafe didn't trigger. I think it has something to do with different backline/weather abilities affecting the Gyrexle's health in a way that causes them to use Riparazione late/early enough. But for this one, i was basically messing around to bring back a little bit of a challenge, while also playing it safe. Nice strategy, i was able to kill off the back row while doing the Sunlight/Nature's Ward routine, and i eventually switched to some level pet once Idol of Decay was down to 200 or so HP and finished him off with the leveling pet. But it was easily soloable at a slow and steady pace, which is nice, thanks!

This worked great for me with a slightly different tactic. I use my Puddle Terror's Sunlight until both Wishbright Lantern and Gyrexle were dead. After that I used Punch and just healed myself with Nature's Ward until Idol of Decay died. This is a long fight, but you should be able to stay alive.

TD script (should work, did some changes after the fight so haven't been able to test it):

I made a minor change to use nature ward on cooldown after the initial round to reduce the fight time by passing otherwise and puts nature ward healing Puddle Terror in the background when swapping the 2 leveling pets.

Lovely strat. Beats having to time Deflect on Anubisath Idol and agonizingly miss Crush due to Sandstorm.

By the way, I've been keeping track of when Idol of Decay uses Dark Rebirth.
274 health = Dark Rebirth
279 health = no Dark Rebirth
May this data be helpful to you all.

Edit: Never mind, Idol just cast Dark Rebirth at 383 health. The above numbers may be specific to the Anubisath Idol/carry pet/Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling strat I've been using up to now. (edited)

I was looking for something like this, I used other strats but those always just worke fine the first 3 times and then somehow the rng made the fight to fail most of the times.
This one did not fail at all, in fact, Idol is never gonna kill the Puddle Terror at all if you do it correctly.

With that said, I did it so that I kept repeating step 8 to 13 until actually both the Gnome and the Lantern died in the background, I even had let the Idol getting a ressurection, honestly it was so easy that even this ressurection did not bother me at all, when he did I used Punch until he was dead and when I won my Puddle Terror literally had full hp.

Performed pretty well as of today. However, I needed to sub in a tanky pet with magic moves to get the lantern low enough to kill. This is not another Puddle Terror solo.

It was fine to solo for me with Puddle Terror. It's quite a long fight, but I had no problem. After the Mech revived and died again, the lantern were at like 3-400 hp or so, doing step 8-13 again and timing the undead ability, i got the lantern to 77 hp, killed the undead and then 1 hit the lantern

no need for that actually, if you keep repeating step 8 to 13, even when the idol gets a ressurect going off, you'll kill the lantern and de gnome eventually and then you can use punch to kill idol off, Idol is never going to kill your puddle terror.
