I tried with Ikky, Sharptalong and Bloodgazer hatchling.
Followed the strategy above, but instead of a bat, I used the Bloodgazer. First reckless strike as it said, and then predatory strike. It's worth a try if you've somehow failed to both capture a blue bat, and have any other sort leveled like me'cause you'd deemed it to be too non-special haha

Substituted Bat for Hippogryph Hatchling (111), but it has to start damaged so that it's HP is <1400. Worked perfectly!

Metaplayer#2717

wrote on 2018-07-24 07:52:48

I used this strat (Black Claw, Rip and Falcosaur Swarm), but instead of the bat I used the much better Brilliant Spore. If the HP is not greater than of the Sharptalon Hatchling, this pet has a few advantages:

1. Fast, so it attacks first
2. Spiked Skin, which is strong against the boss type (magic)
3. Explode (saves you a few steps in the end)

Triser wrote on 2019-01-11 13:03:52

This was a great suggestion to use the Brilliant Spore!

I used Ikky 1/1/1, Direbeak 1/2/2, and Brilliant Spore 1/1/2

Turn 1: Ikky - Black Claw
Ikky is swapped for Direbeak
Turn 2-3: Falcosaur Swarm!
Turn 4: Pass-Brilliant Spore is swapped in; Direbeak dies
Turn 5: Reckless Strike
Turn 6: Explode- Corrupted Blood dies

Ran it 6 times and won every time, even when Ikky was Critted with Voidgate and Spore was Critted with Slime.

Faerie

How is turn 2 supposed to work when Bat has more HP than Sharptalon?

Dooms

wrote on 2018-07-20 10:29:21

do random pet battle and forfeit asap. all of your pet will get -10% HP
just remember to put away sharptalon & ikky away

Choppaa

wrote on 2018-06-03 03:56:45

If you are like me (don't have Bat), and when choosing another one that have more HP than your Sharptalon Hatchling, then change Sharptalon Hatchling with Direbeak Hatchling cause when boss swap pets it brings the one with the highest health pool, after that just follow same guide, should work fine.

LtMashumaro#1620

wrote on 2018-07-17 06:43:59

Direbeak Hatchling doesn't have Rip, which makes this strategy work; so, I used a P/S Amber Moth and the Snowfeather instead. My rotation was Black Claw (swapped) > Squawk > Falcosaur Swarm (Two rounds, then swapped) > Moth Balls, then Alpha Strike.

TL;DR, use Snowfeather Hatchling instead of Sharptalon, and any fast moth in place of the bat. Key press rotation should be this: 2 > 2 > 1 > 3 > 1.

Hezzakan wrote on 2018-05-13 00:16:14

Sharptalon Hatchling wasn't leveled yet so I substituted Firewing S/B with Scorched Earth and Murder. Used Scorched Earth in place of Rip and Murder in place of Falcosaur Swarm.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-23 09:10:32

instead of bat you can put bloodgazer hatchling in last spot, and just use predatory strike after he gets swapped in.

Snazzy wrote on 2017-09-24 01:32:50

Can confirm this works much better, Bloodgazer finished the fight by itself.

Anonymous wrote on 2017-10-01 12:00:08

No luck with other strats listed. Then thought what about that Gilnean Raven... So...

Ikky (1,1,1) P/S
Glinean Raven (2,2,1) B/B
Highlands Turkey (1,1,2) H/S

Black Claw - (Highlands Turkey Gets subbed in)
Flock - (Gilnean Raven gets subbed in)
Call Darkness
Nocturnal Strike

Easy!

swapped turkey to chicken (it had more hp for swap), first try. this is soooo easy, other ones didn't work for me too.

Irayna

wrote on 2018-03-31 23:13:54

An important thing to note, your turkey needs to have more health than your raven. If they have the same amount of health, put them into slot 2. Less health will not work.

If for some reason you're having trouble with this strat when falcosaur comes in use rip before you swarm for the extra dot damage works a charm ikky barely needed to be used.

It might be luck but Tiny Flamefly was the key to this for me. I couldn't get any of the other strategies to come together. Ikky for black claw then Swarm

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-06 11:00:18

My bat was only 24 and I missed by just an inch every time.
I changed ton Sentinel's Companion, with Moonfire, almost killed it, used Peck to finish it off.

Crazybish wrote on 2017-09-06 20:51:07

My bat is 25 but I kept losing with 100 less health left. Switching to Sentinel's Companion worked perfectly. Thanks!

Nelaphim wrote on 2017-09-07 21:17:09

This worked great. I used Soul Rush, then Moonfire and the fight was won.

Quenais wrote on 2017-09-10 02:43:30

My bat is a H/P breed and his health kept messing up the listed strat. Switched him as suggested here and got it first try (didn't even need Moonfire for some reason).

Optimusbeef wrote on 2017-09-30 20:36:41

I used the Sentinel's Companion as well but wasn't having luck with Moonfire and Peck, he kept dying off. Used Soulrush and then Moonfire instead and the blood died the first try.

Dougula wrote on 2017-09-30 14:19:19

No leveled bat so I had to tweak the original start. Subbing in a Fledgling Nether Ray (1-1-1) instead of the bat. Follow the original strat w/Ikky and Sharptalon, then w/the Nether Ray use 2 tail sweeps FTW!

Jendala wrote on 2017-09-30 19:35:46

Nether Ray Fry (P/S) also works for this alteration. Smooth sailing!

Anonymous wrote on 2017-09-10 12:54:54

I used a pet with creeping fungus (in my case tiny sporebat), then switched to ikky with black claw and flock and finishid it with quills on brilliant kaliri (any quills will do as long as the pet is 1319 or lower).

WiredTexan wrote on 2017-09-12 11:23:46

Midiosa wrote on 2017-09-17 00:12:05

Dionysia wrote on 2017-09-17 19:15:46

Thank you!!! Direbeak worked for me too!

LN wrote on 2017-09-18 14:45:51

Void Gate swaps to the other pet w/ the highest health. (Your bat's health was high enough to cause that.)

Darielyia wrote on 2017-09-23 13:32:51

Couldn't get lucky with the Sharptalon so switched to the Direbeak and it worked first time. Not sure if the Direbeak just got luckier with the crits or what happened.

Aderana wrote on 2017-09-23 13:45:35

Here's an alternative strat:

Skyfin Juvenile or Chi-Chi, Hatchling of Chi-ji with Wild Magic
Shrine Fly (1,1,1)
Skywisp Moth (2,1,1)

1. Wild Magic > Shrine Fly comes in
2. Confusing Sting
3. Swarm > Skywisp Moth comes in
4. Predatory Strike
5. Cocoon Strike

My shrine fly was S/S and skywsip was P/S.

Ikky 1/1/1
Blazing Firehawk 1/2/2
Direbeak Hatchling 1/2/2

Ikky
Blackclaw
Flock
Direbeak Hatchling
Ironskin
Warning Squawk
Falcosaur Swarm
Blazing Firehawk
Scorched Earth
Deep Burn
Deep Burn

If the order that the pets come in is different still use the same moves. Tried a few times and worked fine.

worked well, first time and my bat was only level 20. Think I got lucky, considering the rest of the fights I've having tonight......damn RNG

Replaced Bat with P/P Nether Ray Fry using Tail Sweep. Same strategy but when Nether Ray Fry is swapped in just Tail Sweep twice to win.

My Bat was a H/P breed and got swapped in on turn 2.

I swapped him for a 1319 HP Nether Ray Fry with Tail Sweep.

Several tries and strat just did not work. Ikky was doing only about 126 damage with Savage Talon and it wasn't enough. I subbed in Quills for Savage Talon and it worked fine.
