I've done my best to translate the TD script into step by instructions that are readable. The basic idea is to use the Nexus Whelpling's Arcane Winds to prevent your pets from being stunned, and its Sear Magic ability to trigger the Magma Trap. This will damage the Nexus Whelpling, but your Nexus Whelpling can take the damage without issue. The Bile Larva will deal with Ruddy, and the Periwinkly Calf will take care of Wanderer. How does it work: The enemy Imp (Frill) is almost harmless to critters. The idea is to keep him as enemy front pet (he uses Fade and next turn you stun the pet you don't want to see and Frill comes back) and to kill enemy backline pets with Pheromones. A fawn provides needed healing. Any fawn type and breed works, but the more power it has, the better it works (best is P/P Gleamhoof Fawn) - more power = more healing = less turns wasted on healing. The strategy works with 1 lovebird, but the script won't work in this case. Pheromones' going to have lower uptime and the bird'll need more healing. The fight is going to last even longer. If it only has 1 turn left, Frill will swap out anyways. Used this exact recipie for months with great success. Today (December 22nd) it doesn't work anymore. Bloodfang doesn't kill Ruddy. Tried different breeds of Kneebiters as well, but Ruddy is left with ~140 HP after Bloodfang.

The strategy by Means in this thread works fine though.

I have done this fight so many times successfully with the zoom + zandalari strat but today I got stuck in a really bad rng with the stuns. I ended up trying this suggested team but didnt have Tricorne or Lava Beetle. I used Fire Beetle (1,2,2) and Lil'Ragnaros (2,1,2). Magma wave to clean up the playing field and Lil Ragnaros Magma Trap gave me the advantage I needed to soak up the loss I still suffered on the stuns because my zandarari P/P went down hard and fast. In the end it was a win for me using lil rag.

I tested your strategy after patch 9.0.1 went live today and it works. So I added it here complete with a TD script, only added Devour at the end because Blood in the Water didn't always finish Wanderer off. Hope that's okay. I find it useful because it uses pets not used in other fights in this dungeon and it's faster than the one with Apocalypse I used before.

For those who have no pet with sniff out at lvl 25 - Servant of Demidos or Magic Broom with Clean Up works instead of Sniff Out; any ability that removes objects from the battlefields (to remove the magma trap)

Worked well for me. I had to use Fire Beetle (lvl 22) and Rustyroot Snooter (lvl 23) as replacements. But it worked. Ended up the kneebiter had to finish off at the end, but whatever works is fine by me.

Me personally not having any luck with the sniff out. The act of going to sniff out always seems to set the trap off before it's removed. Still won the fight, but I'm kinda sad I've never gotten to see the move properly go off.

I thought I might have the same problem, but my S/S Kneebiter had 90% health left over from the Wilbur fight and he kicked Frill's butt. I know it had a lot to do with RNG, but it worked. (edited)

The Kneebiter/Anklerender is the only one that can be stunned.

I had my Kneebiter stunned after Apocalypse, when I did the optional step of bringing the Kneebiter in for Black Claw/Hunting Party if alive. It didn't matter to the success of the strat, which finished perfectly, but perhaps it affected the script, which I didn't use.

The trap stun at the end is literally the only one that can happen. And that stun doesn't have an impact on the success of the strat. Before the nerfs the trap would usually kill the zandalari that's why there was no need to make the script pass on stuns, but now it can survive it for a round

Same thing happened to me with Stun on KneeBiter (S/S) after Apocalypse. Fire Beetle was (H/H). I passed on Stun, KneeBiter, died. Used script rest of way with no problem.

i'd rather use any pet that can get rid of battlefield objects or debuffs. playing without that is putting you in a big risk of losing to the trap rng.
tricorne is just there because it is twice effective against magma trap being a critter with the object removal. so if you don't have tricorne just use anything else that can do that (like the snooters from mechagon) (edited)

Worked just as described, used H/S Fire Beetle, P/S Kneebiter. Kneebiter was alive to come back in near the end, but died before I could use black claw. Was a good filler for the cauterize cooldown though.

14		Nadiv	The fight is very very long (75+ turns), but there is no RNG (always wins) Using script is recommended as it's all priority based. How does it work: The enemy Imp (Frill) is almost harmless to critters. The idea is to keep him as enemy front pet (he uses Fade and next turn you stun the pet you don't want to see and Frill comes back) and to kill enemy backline pets with Pheromones. A fawn provides needed healing. Any fawn type and breed works, but the more power it has, the better it works (best is P/P Gleamhoof Fawn) - more power = more healing = less turns wasted on healing. The strategy works with 1 lovebird, but the script won't work in this case. Pheromones' going to have lower uptime and the bird'll need more healing. The fight is going to last even longer. 19		Squirl	Usually wins around round 41. Only fails if Pennamarcia gets crit and top-ended by Crush. Both breeds of Val'kyr Impura work, but H/H basically can't fail to crits while B/B sometimes can. I highly recommend just using the script. The steps might be a little hard to follow, so I'll explain in more detail here: Frill It's important to note that the Appiccicosissima debuff must have 2 turns left to stop Sparizione from swapping. If it only has 1 turn left, Frill will swap out anyways. His Sparizione casts aren't 100% consistent, so whenever its CD is 1 round or less, you can only cast Appiccicosissima or you risk getting juked and Frill swapping out. Ruddy You continue to tank with Zoom until the Trappola di Magma is gone and Colpo Possente has 5 turns of CD left (so you have time to combo with your Val'kyr Impura and Pennamarcia).
