I was able to use a Mini Mindslayer instead of Eye of Corruption. Pass, Amplify Magic, Life Exchange, Mana Surge - then resume the tactic above :) Thanks for the inspiration!

This didn't work for me on the first try (probably because libram failed to kill Bloog) but on the second try I barely skated by with 20hp left on my manafiend. It's really crit-dependent but it did work. Thanks for the suggestion!

I used Lofty Libram instead of Court Scribe and it worked. I tried first with a poor quality Lofty Libram and failed, but after using a stone and making it rare, the strat worked fine.
