I haven't tested this fight with this strat beyond my 1 fight needed for the credit towards the achievement so I don't know how relevant it is for this particular strat, but you can add the following to the beginning of the script to ensure that any stuns that Roots may cause will make the script pass the round instead of hanging:

Roots still had 400 hp when Ikky died. My 2nd pet was already at 50% when Roots died. Beaky killed 2nd pet and I had to bring out 3rd. Strat still worked, but not quite how it's written out.

I didn't have Sentinel's Companion, but found that a Shimmering Aquafly or Waterfly with Dodge and Alpha Strike worked just as well - just make sure it's faster than Beaky (277 or more speed) so that you know when to dodge the Lift-offs.

My Ikky died before it could kill Roots so I handled it with my third pet. So I suggest any pet with black claw and flock in the third slot.
