I have a question. Why do you pick the first option if you will only use Unholy Ascension? Seems like the third option would be better. (edited)

Option 1 was 25%, not 20% and followed up with getting Grave Destruction. Killed my lvl 1 3 times in a row. Seems more than a little RNG to go with as currently written.

You're right, I didn't notice it at the time since my level pet was in the 20s.

I've corrected the level pet requirements to be at least level 7, with more than 425 health. That should be enough to survive even if they're weak to undead.

I used the same pets as Gualdhar, but a different set up. I put the a lvl 10 pet first and then accepted option 2 as it didnt matter if it was stunned for 5 turns. then swapped to va'lkyr and 1 doom 2 ascension, the starlette I used windup, supercharge and windup and addius died.

Lvl pet got 75 xp so hardly worth it, the starlette was 305 power and 257 speed.
