While Imolação is much, much better for backline healing, I've found out Lança-chamas adds a little more stability, as dropping a DoT later means it smoothes out the Queimar's RNG. You can use Imolação first cast only, but you will risk Gyrexle healing out because Failsafe didn't trigger. I think it has something to do with different backline/weather abilities affecting the Gyrexle's health in a way that causes them to use Consertar late/early enough. In this vast jungle, a low-hanging fruit isn't entirely unexpected.

Don't worry about your own RNG, and as the Idol of Decay is slower it can be swapped out even as it went into Damned.

A minor detail: seeing as the Geyser stuns the Idol for its undead round, the Lantern is swapped in earlier than described, but since the fight otherwise goes as described and the carry pet doesn't take undue damage, it's not a big deal.

Out of 12 tries, this strategy has only failed me once. My Tideskipper is HH. (edited)

Still the most consistent strategy, but instead of a level pet, I throw in a Surger to play clean-up, which it always has to do.

td script failed because Wishbright Lantern died early on a big hit from my Infinite Whelpling. Whelpling hit Gyrexle with a Tail Sweep instead of Early Advantage. Gyrexle then survived long enough to heal, and killed my Whelpling.

Another satisfied customer. I've been using this strategy with fine success since WoD and am still happy in Shadowlands. (I still do Draenor Master Trainers most weeks.) Has it failed from time to time b/c RNG or whatever? Sure. But it has never failed me twice in a row. (FWIW, my Tideskipper is H/P.)

This worked absolutely best for me. I'd tried it previously Pre-SL with the Emperor Crab/Infinite Whelp and Leveling pet line up without any issues but for some reason something changed and I was incredibly frustrated. TY guys!

Worked perfectly for me, even with Tideskipper critting the Idol of Decay at one point. Geyser still stunned it during the undead round and everything lined up nicely.

This is a great strategy, but man, if the Tideskipper gets even one crit against the Idol, it breaks the whole thing.

i had been using another strat that had a little RNG, but today it gave me complete grief... i tried this one after running the other one 8 times, and first try with this one was a success... now it's my new favorite!

well i spent some stones getting these two pets to 25 only to have the strategy fail three times so far and now going on fourth ... undead phase doesn't happen when it says it should and the whelpling died before them mechanic ... dont mind losing--really hate waste those precious +25 stones though. That really h u r t s.

This actually didn't work for me the first time, because I got off a crit on the Lantern and it died early. When that happens, RNG is not your friend because the Dragonkin buff doesn't line up right with Early Advantage on Gyrexle and he revives and kills your Infinite Whelpling. Used this same strat a second time and it worked perfectly. Thanks!

I've been using the Sunflower strat for ages, and it's never failed, but it takes a long time to finish. This strategy worked very well for me and it's relatively quick. Thanks for posting it.

i added a script. also removed the breed restictions since the strategy works with all of them. however if someone wants to min-max it use H/H on the tideskipper and P/P on the whelpling

While Imolação is much, much better for backline healing, I've found out Lança-chamas adds a little more stability, as dropping a DoT later means it smoothes out the Queimar's RNG. You can use Imolação first cast only, but you will risk Gyrexle healing out because Failsafe didn't trigger. I think it has something to do with different backline/weather abilities affecting the Gyrexle's health in a way that causes them to use Consertar late/early enough.
