I replaced the bunny with a Magma Rageling to get rid of the Risen Allies, i probably wasted some damage by selecting Fire Shield instead of Flame Jet, but my Chrominius was able to nuke Terry nevertheless.
EDIT: I just tried again and it again worked, once Iron Starlette dies, bring in Magma Rageling and try to use Magma Wave right after he casts Risen Ally, to maximum advantage of the cooldown on that ability, this time i did choose Flame Jet and placed a Magma Trap which went off after another Magma Wave, i kept doing this until Magma Rageling died, it was Lvl 23, it gained 370 XP (with Safari Hat), which luckily was enough to level up, so it turned back to life again as a Lvl 24. Very close fight. Only 124 hp left on the dust bunny but, managed to beat him. I had SS bunny.

I think breed matters - I failed 2 times with 2 diff SB Bunnies. (edited)

these strategies don't seem to match what pets really come up in this dungeon; is this guide outdated? I had the same problem in multiple fights ... pets on enemy team are totally differently named than what was in the guide. i'm confused. These guides have always worked for me in every other pet battle. Not this time.

I'm confused by your comment. Nefarious Terry doesn't have any other pets. Nefarious Terry IS a Level 25 Legendary pet. And this strat doesn't name any other pet?

What other strats have you found this problem on, exactly?

I don't know this strat myself, but it seems coherent. It might be helpful to add a "Bring in Chrominius" line where appropriate, but that doesn't seem confusing. (edited)
