Used a Green Quality B/B Parasitic Boarfly at 1375 health my fly died on the last sting. my other pet did not enter the fight.

Was expecting Drain Blood somewhere, was not disappointed. :)

You need to account for your pets' speed. If you're >=325 (> not a case right now, we don't know Crimson Bat Pup's breed yet) you should pass at round 1 and continue as described.
1400 health pets might not survive a crit or consecutive 3-hit spree.
Also, as told somewhere else, the achievement indeed requires level 25 pets, while the experience obtained is too low to be worth pursuing. The second pets doesn't need to survive then.

To be frank it does not have to be slower (although it helps with a number of hit points). It just takes an additional round. Thanks for the response. :)
