I noticed just in time when my leveling pet was almost dead and I had to manually bring in the Nether Faerie Dragon to finish the fight.

Make sure you have the pets in the right order. Your leveling pet needs to be in position #2

I personally use Moonfire on Round 12, just because it guarantees going first on Round 13 (555 versus 311 Damage) and gives the Dragonkin bonus damage for Arc blast on 12. This strat is wonderfully efficient regardless.

I've been using this strat for months now. 100% reliable and just noticed that my Nether Roach is a S/S. It will die turn 7 with 38 hp.

Turn 13 could just as well be Arc Blast as it will be its 3rd use which will make it the same damage as Moonfire.

I know about this interchangeability. In terms of a real-time speed pet battle, yes its better because of the animations. Use this option if you're on pet treats.

Nether Roach: Optimal Breed: H/P; Other Viable Breed(s): H/H, H/S

Using any other breeds for these pets will produce less than reliable results.
