Used the spirit as a starter, then Corrupted Blood and Echo of the Cave but Echo only needed one hit or another round of Scorched Earth.

Pandaren Water Spirit (1/2/1) - Followed steps from this strat.
Corrupted Blood (1/1/2) - Used ability 2 > 1 > 3 (and obviously killed itself)
Echo of the Cave (1/1/2) - One hit of any ability (or stay alive for another round to let Scorched Earth do the job).

Poor Echo got the 800 hit in round 10 so maybe I couldve let Echo take the hit and explode in its revived state (was afraid it would enter too early due to Bleed dot). Either way, there was a margin left.

It's ok, but strats like this should not say "any 3rd pet". This one needed at least 3 attacks from the 3rd if the 3rd had only a basic that could do ~200.

Blazing Cindercrawler works great as the 3rd pet here. I used an uncommon level 22 Cindercrawler and just used Brittle Webbing.

This is what I used as well. Brittle Webbing finished the fight. This strategy really needs a third pet added. I had to sift through a couple of pets before I found one that would work.

Since Elemental attacks are weak against Gnasher, the “Any Elemental” specification for slot #3 is very risky. As others have said, Cinder Kitten is a good one here.

Put a 3rd pet that also has Blood in the Water because he will still be bleeding and BitW will finish him in one hit.

I used the 1st 2 pets as above and my Cinder Kitten in 3rd place. Prowl followed by Leap made easy work of him.

This should be main strat it worked super easy and as you said third pet not needed. Using above strat with water spirit and razor even with a pet that did beast damage in 3rd slot I could not get it to work at all.

Hopefully my memory serves correctly:

Crazy Carrot 2-2-1
Fetid Waveling 2-2-1
Tiny Twister 1-1-2

- Blistering Cold until Maul is up the second time
- Aged Yolk to clear Rip before Maul lands
- Blistering Cold until Carrot is dead (you want to make sure this debuff is up as long as possible)
- Swap in Fetid Waveling
- Poison Spit
- Corrosion (unless Maul is available to Gnasher, then Healing Wave)
- Healing Wave if Maul not used prior round
- Poison Spit until Waveling is dead.
- Tiny Twister comes in - Call Lightning
- Flyby
- Slicing Wind until Gnasher dies

Thanks for the tip to use Cinder Kitten.
I opened with the Pandaren Water Spirit and followed the above strat.
When Water Spirit died, I brought in Fel Flame (2, 2, 1). Scorched Earth, Flame Breath, Conflagrate, Fel Flame dies, bring in Cinder Kitten.
Cinder Kitten (1, 2, 2) Leap, Rend, Gnasher dies.

I only had a lvl24, white quality Electrified Razortooth so I put a Core Hound Pup (2/1/2) in the third slot and did Howl -> Burrow.

Tiny Bog Beast is good for the third slot, he has two beast attacks including Rampage.
