This did not work for me for the first time today. Pounder used sandstorm when he got in and almost killed Cricket, so I didn't make it past cocoon. Even with a lvl 23 levelling pet I did not win. (edited)

In Shadowlands, they greatly increased the power of Sandstorm (and other pet abilities). If you do not enter the Pounder fight with at least 898 hp, you will not get to use Nature's Touch. This makes the fight rely too heavily on getting good self-heal numbers during Crusher. A different selection of pets may be needed now.

This tactic does not work for me. My S/B Marsh Fiddler dies around the time Pounder comes in, and my H/H Chrominius does not one-shot Mutilator because of the shield he has, and dies during recovering period because of the amount of AoE damage Pounder does. I guess I just have bad breeds? Oh, and the levelling pet dies from Pounder AoE too.

Chrominius is a single-breed pet, so it can't be wrong, don't worry about that, levelling pet should have some decent hp and possibly not be a beast, cause pounder's aoe is strong vs beasts, and as for the marsh fiddler I think there's what should be considered an imprecision from the one who made the strategy: look at the power those other crickets have and the red cricket's power, it's 40% higher or so, this results in much more damage and healing, hence the red cricket is mandatory with this strategy, I just levelled it the other day randomly and was impressed that it had 220 power or so at level 15, when there's pets that barely reach that at 25!

Effervescent Glowfly 221 and Spawn of G'nathus 112 do the job for me.
Start with lvl pet. Pass - swithc to fly. Slice until 1 round of whirlpool, then cocoon. swarm - cacoon again. after your fly dies - use G'natus' shock, dive-swallow x2. Same for last pet.

I use a Dreanai Micro Defender 1-1-2 as 3rd pet. I swap it in when Mutilator drops low enough and it just waltzes straight in and blows it up with Ion Cannon. If Cricket dies before Mutilator gets below Ion Cannon threshold, one Metal Fist drops its hp low enough.
My TDScript also takes into account that 1 crit from Crusher combined with a crit from Sandstorm wrecks Cricket so bad that Rupture will kill it prematurely.

My lvl pet got killed here. (Lvl 6 s/s beast) So to be safe, use a higher lvl pet.

The Red Cricket fits so well here! Thank you for this! I just took a level 12 Chicken to level 23 in a single battle with this strategy. 15,000 XP! It is during the Sign of the Critter 200% Battle Pet experience week, I 'm wearing the Safari Hat, and have a Lesser Pet Treat buff. Without this strategy, I would not have figured this out. A little tweak to this strat as it didn't work for me as laid out. When Red Cricket uses Cocoon to counter Skitter's Whirpool at the end (after Turn 11), since Cocoon is now on cooldown, Pounder's Sandstorm followed by Rupture finishes off Red Cricket. To prevent Red's early death, I passed on one of my turns with Crusher at the end so as not to kill him too early therein giving Red's Cocoon Strike a chance to come off cooldown and counter Pounder's Rupture. Otherwise, solid leveling strategy.
