  • Same family
  • Has the required skills
  • Has the required stats (if specified)
  • Ignores specific breed requirements for the main pet, as breeds can be very different for substitutes

Worked great. I'd suggest adding Leveling pets here instead, but I think in order to withstand the group damage, they should probably be 10-15 level or above. Otherwise they die and get less leveling points.

still works like a charm as of 10.2.5

I used the following script to add lower level pets. I recommend at least 900hp, 1000 to be secure:

use(Sandstorm:453)
use(Deflection:490)
change(#2) [!self(#2).played]
change(#3) [!self(#3).played]
use(Crush:406)
change(Anubisath Idol:1155)

This works very well but if he for some reason crits you a few times you'll die. The odds of that happening are really slim however but something to keep in mind.

rédigé le 2020-10-16 18:34:19

Still works as of Pre-Patch 9.0, script does as well too. Fight hasn't changed at all. If you don't wanna sacrifice a random pet, Critters take less damage from his Pound, I found my highest HP pet that I don't use often is Experimental Cockroach with over 1800hp.

JudyBlue rédigé le 2020-06-22 18:34:26

I just used Unborn Valk with Ikky and bobs your uncle easy kill.

Revolution

rédigé le 2019-12-21 23:45:51

You're better off using Stoneskin as opposed to Sandstorm.

Anonymous rédigé le 2020-05-23 20:19:42

Why? Sandstorm gives an additional 10% chance to miss, and the boss dies after 10 turns so it doesn't matter what you do to him. Strat is perfect as is.

Hampen rédigé le 2017-08-12 07:24:32

Here is a script for Anubisath Idol that worked, obviously you don't need it, but I wrote it anyway, because its still nice to only press one button. :) It will use Deflection on cooldown and then use sandstorm if it's available, otherwise it will pass. It's my first script, but for me it works without any problems. :)

You absolutely DO need a script even for this fight. Because pressing three buttons is absurd.

Vert rédigé le 2017-11-13 07:27:07

You can also do with with any rabbit/hare/bunny rotating Dodge and Burrow then passing until they come off CD.

I used a H/S Gleamhoof Fawn and 2 Rabbits (because woodland critters) but anything with Tranquility would work. I have a script for it as well, so it will cast Tranquility, pass the turn when the Tranquility buff is up, and recast it when it falls off, and then rinse and repeat until Rocko's demise.

Elekk Plushie - solos this as long as you use cute as a button, which increases dodge by 25%. All it has to do is survive until 10 rounds are over - it always does.

eKatherine rédigé le 2017-08-03 11:41:03

I use a team of 3 elekk plushies, 2 of them leveling pets. It's pretty hilarious.

Kathleene rédigé le 2017-10-05 14:15:02

Great ideas! I especially like the three Plushies strategy. I'm gonna have to try it. I always have lots of Plushies about, and they just love a chance to strut their stuff.

Aryel rédigé le 2016-12-26 18:34:03

If you don't want to do anything in this battle, put the Elekk Plushie at the head of your team and any critter on the backline. Critters take less damage from Rokco's Pound. Just pass for 10 turns. Elekk Plushie will die at the very end and your critter will still be alive for an easy win.

Kathleene rédigé le 2017-10-05 14:12:38

What a great idea! I love battling with a Plushie along, and this is a perfect opportunity to do just that. Thanks for the suggestion.

Anonymous rédigé le 2017-09-15 18:48:29

Solo'd with Teroclaw Hatchling (2,2,2) Kept Nature's Ward up, Dodged when available. Passed on all the other turns to speed things up.

Pure Armour rédigé le 2017-04-24 03:47:38

any 3 rabbits work also ... Rabbit 1 just Dodge, then Burrow switch Rabbit 2 just Dodge, then Burrow switch Rabbit 3 just Dodge, then Burrow switch

Anonymous rédigé le 2016-11-25 16:05:22

if you have the falcosaur quest to do this with two undead pets, i was able to do it with a scourged whelping and unborn val'kyr. Really they just sat there and ate the damage. I think any two undead might work because they have the rez.

Mo rédigé le 2017-02-09 07:28:10

Thanks to your post I ended up trying with Fragment of Desire, only using Soul Ward and Soothe when available. Fragment managed alone, although in the final Undead round, but with a backup Undead it should be no problem at all.

kwiltre rédigé le 2017-02-02 18:57:34

I just finished this for my bloodgazer falcosaur quest today. Needed 2 beasts so I used Dun Morogh Cub and Spiketail Beaver for backup. The Cub hibernates whenever it's off cooldown and healed himself enough to survive. The back line damage made it close for my bloodgazer but we all survived.

Arva rédigé le 2017-02-09 07:07:42

Thank you for that! I never thought about that fight for the quest but it worked well :D

Steellace rédigé le 2016-11-15 20:11:19

For those of you with the Sharptalon quest to defeat him with two magic pets, the key is to remember that you just have to survive 10 rounds. I used Hyjal Wisp with Arcane Blast, Evanescence, and Wish. I put another magic and the Sharptalon on the team. Just use Evanescence on cooldown, and at just above 50%, use Wish. You can use Arcane Blast or pass as a filler. It was really easy to survive the 10 rounds.

Gingerscream rédigé le 2016-12-29 22:21:42

I just used the Elekk Plushie and just passed every round. Even though my Sharptalon died, I still got credit.

TheRenegade rédigé le 2016-11-26 01:56:10

Blossoming Ancient - 2,2,2. Just cast sunlight, Photosynthesis, and then Ironbark again and again. You'll out heal what Rocko can do, and just sit there and laugh.

True, Ancient is a store pet. But valid strat.

Amynnassa rédigé le 2016-12-26 23:14:32

Same strategy with Broot, he has the same set of abilities with 2,2,2. Just tested.

I am Broot!

Zaymaa rédigé le 2016-11-26 09:59:25

Easy....as noted above, just last 10 rounds using dodge and/or heals. Hyjal Wisp worked great with the Sharptalon.

Rifkin rédigé le 2016-11-08 19:07:19

If you need to defeat this guy for the falcosaur quest lines using 2 undead, my first attempt was successful (just). I used Frostwolf Ghostpup refuge and frolick, Grotesque Stone Form, with my Snowfeather Hatchling last. Use the abilities mentioned above as they come off of cooldown, my Snowfeather only just survived.

Jane Fawn rédigé le 2016-11-08 22:32:38

Great tip about the Ghostpup with refuge and Frolick. I cycled in the Fragment of Desire with Sooth and Soul Ward and Snowfeather with Couch. Boss was either asleep or hitting shields.

AthenaP rédigé le 2016-11-09 02:27:23

Mr Bigglesworth with Ice Barrier will take up a round as well.

Anonymous rédigé le 2016-11-15 16:04:35

I would think any pet with a "Heals allies" spell works too

Kiolna rédigé le 2016-11-16 06:52:59

I used the Ghostpup but rather than using Refuge I used Haunting song. I had mr bigglesworth too but didn't need to use him. I hit frolick first, passed, then Haunting song. Passed until each were up again. Frostwolf died when Rocko had only one round left anyway, so put the Snowfeather in and hit Crouch. Survived and worked for the quest :)

kermione rédigé le 2016-10-11 22:49:12

Worked first time like a charm. Rocko has a countdown debuff "Crumbling" and dies in 10th round. You just have to keep a pet alive.

momof4rugratz rédigé le 2016-10-13 01:17:16

Good to know about the abysmal experience. Thank you.

Reinhilde rédigé le 2016-09-10 21:09:40

For anyone curious, Rocko does not give enough experience to worry about trying to get experience from him. (My level 11 pet got 418) Though if you REALLY want to squeeze exp out of every battle, a level 10 pet can survive Pound, if you open with Anubisath and use Sandstorm. The third pet should be a Pygmy Cow with Mother's Milk, and you should swap to it right after swapping in the leveling pet and use it. Then again later in the fight.
