I would strongly suggest putting a specific pet in slot 3. All the failures that came out of pet sim (roughly 1 failure per 100 battles) were because of the third pet not doing enough, or having a poor ability for slot one. One of my failures was with Trunks & When Elekks Fly.

We have a few options for pets with Critter attacks that are faster than Trailblazer, and not too difficult to get, like Lord Basilton or Kobaldt.
