While PetSim is wonderful, it is not entirely finished and reliable. The author hasn't completed and verified all battle sequences yet.

It can be very useful as part of an arithmetic analysis of a strat, by generating possible combinations and conditions that are worth looking at, but it also generates false positives and false negatives.

Quoting its numbers without checking the battle yourself doesn't really accomplish much.

Currently Pet Sim can't parse abilities in plain text. so "self.aura(Dragonkin).exists" causes the problem. In general, it is always good to use the ID instead of the name. a non english client can't read the script correctly.
Here is a correct version and it looks reliable:

Weird... usually I try to use the AutoFill of BPS to not miss those IDs (playing 2 different language clients myself for testing and Retail), not sure why they went missing here. Added them to the script, thanks for the reminder.

Any chance to get more info on what happened (or didn't)? Because alone in this week I was doing this WQ on 10 characters using this stuff and I had no issues with the script/team (even with one early Emmigosa death).

There's a "Test" button when you have Pet Battle Scripts open in a fight. When you click that, it should show you the next action without performing it. Where does it look different from the written strategy?

Not sure how this is the top rated one here tbh, not trying to be harsh, but it has failed 4 times in a row now for me where the 2nd strategy worked first time

How did it fail? I'd be interested in seeing a log. (You can find that in the Pet Battle tab of your chat.)

I have been using this strat myself since start of the expansion and in fact used it half an hour ago on an alt. It has never failed for me.

There are no valid substitutes or alternate breeds.

Are you sure you followed the instructions correctly?

Tempe will crit Emmigosa bringing in Chrominius 1 to 2 rounds early. Chrominius then does not have enough health to finish the fight.

I just want out to check, and I can see that. Your Emmi has already taken damage, and a crit from Conflag in Tempe's first round would finish Emmi.

But.

AFAIK, Tempe has an equal chance to use any ability in his first round. And a crit is a 5% chance. So that would be a 1-in-60 event.

If we say it could happen on either Tempe's first round or second, we would have a 1-in-30 chance.

Possible, but very unlikely to happen 4 times in a row.

Pure coincidence, but that 1-in-60 contingency I laid out above just happened to me on an alt just doing a regular farm.

Tempe's first attack was Conflag and it crit for 950 and killed my Emmi on her first round.

I followed the strat as listed and still won handily.

So that 1-in-60 chance on its own is not enough to spoil the strat.

P.S. I saved the log in case anyone wants to analyze. (editado)

Looking for some help, i recently updated my UI and now when using Rematch i can no longer right click on a saved pet team and add a script to it for the auto battle.......am i doing something wrong here? Hope someone can help.

What do you mean you can't right click. Does the menu not show up, or is the option to add a script, not there? If it's the latter, make sure "Pet Battle Scripts" is up to date. (Same with Rematch) Also the text changes depending on if there's a script for the team or not (Add script / Edit script).

Ran it four times and Swoggy never died on the backline. I still won on the 2nd and 4th try but had to use an extra Emmigosa Flame Breath (RNG - it died on the other two). (editado)
