Since I didn't have the pets for another strategy, I decided to try out something else.
My Kun-Lai Runt was lvl 23 at the time of doing this and worked flawlessly every time I tested it. I have not tested it with other Kun-Lai Runt breeds, but feel free to test it out and I'll change the breed tag if others work |

The only thing still left that would cause this to fail is if a hard crit from Lil' Spirit Guide causes Hopling to die too early.

Did not use Deflection against the Spirit Guide, but used Sandstorm for that turn instead. Deflected the #3 Ability of the Spirit guide and kept Sandstorm up. Kun-Lai finished the fight easily.

Wretched Servant (2,2,1)
Use the Frolicker's Barkskin, Scratch until dead. The Frolicker dies when the Spirit Guide reincarnates.
Switch to Sister of Temptation. Pass/Shadow Shock on the death turn. Against Quillino, use Curse of Doom and spam Shadow Shock. If in luck, the succubus will die with Quillino having <222 HP.
Finish off Quillino with the Wretched Servant's Nether Blast. Use Nether Blast again on Fethyr's first turn; it will miss, but does increase the damage of the next Nether Blasts. Use Weakness to mitigate Fethyr's next hit. Spam Nether Blast until Fethyr perishes. The speed debuff from Fethyr being <50% HP should give the Servant the advantage it requires."

- Flayer Youngling, use deflect, then ramapage (may need 1 more hit to kill at end).
- bring out anubisath idol. Follow Xu-fu's instructions above, BUT deflect his #3 ability - if you don't you will get hit by spectral spine (his #2) every time.
- AI can bring bird down to <50%, and kun-lai runt ends easily.
