Make sure Chitterspine Skitterling has less health than Hissing Chitterspine. I did a pre-fight with him in the first position, standby on first round and then quit, resulting in approx 1000 health to start the real battle (position #2).

put ghostshell crab (* * 1) instead of the jelly and golden civet kitten (2 1 *) for the hissing chitterspine. pretty fun fight.
hissing chitterspine wouldn't get swapped in, as you said, so i experimented with other slowing effects and growled at the crab hoping Spirit Claws wont miss to get that last batch of black claw +100% but after a while of angry restarting... Snozz got himself killed on Spirit Spikes :)
got the idea for the crab from some blog called soul of the forest. (edited)

Thank you, this worked for me. Pass with crab, Gnaw with civet, screech, chitterspine gets swapped in, black claw, swarm until crab is swapped in, cast spirit spikes, cast spirit claws. I got lucky with at least one crit toward the end.

After trying a bunch of more complex and RNG strats, this one worked on the first try. Good job! (Seems like the strats that incorporated a slowing effect end up being more effective)

YES after 1000 attempts I read these properly, GhostShellCrab, pass and Golden Civet uses Gnaw & Screech then pass, Chitterspine uses Blackclaw & Swarm then GhostShell uses Spikes and gnaw, game over, all these 3 survived, no need for bubble, thnx to 'pul' Sword & Zet ;-)

Took about 3 attempts, but got him down with this strat! I used a Ghostshell Crab (1/*/1) HS - Chitterspine skitterling (*/2/2) PS - and Golden Civet Kitten (2/1/1) SS

Ghostshell Crab died, but was able to use the kitten with Surge to get the last hit in. I used this script:

Great strat Zaphod, worked with script the first time. Took 9 rounds and all my pets were still alive at the end. I tried the one on this page, but didnt see how it was possible for the hissing chitterspine to come in as 2nd via void gate because his HP are lower then the skitterling so i quickly abandon it and tried this one.

It worked, after a few tries. But this is the best strat I found. Also I didnt have the 3rd pet and used a golden civet kitten instead, (2 1 1) and it was all good.

Breed information is incorrect. Hissing Chitterspine has to have higher health than the Chitterspine Skitterling or this doesn't work. Any/Any is not a working strategy. Forfeiting a "random" doesn't change the pet that is swapped in, it's driven by their health. (edited)

Actually, taking some damage and forfeiting helps, since a pet to swap is selected based on its CURRENT health, not the max one.

It's all about getting the Hissing Chitterspine to swap in FIRST. So do a random pet battle and reduce Chitterspine Skitterling's health by 10% -- worked on first try (edited)

So i used this in 9.2.0 and it still works, make sure you read the note and care there is a little bit of RND in matter of your Jelly survives first attack.

i confirm what he says, i had the bleakwater jelly, he died before killing snozz so i had to use pump jelly who has 110hp more and he survived and could finish off snozz so maybe putting a restriction as 1500hp minimum for the jelly could be a good thing

Honestly, this strat worked PERFECTLY once I read the creators comment to forfeit a random battle to reduce the skitterling's health enough that it doesn't get swapped in. I simply started a battle with Snozz with the skitterling in the first slot, passed, and then forfeited. Then put Jelly back in slot one and restarted- it worked first try.

Thanks for this - it worked for me too! Used a Bleakwater Jelly, Chitterspine Skitterling (P/S), and Hissing Chitterspine (P/P, uncommon). Needed some luck when the Jelly came back in at the end to not have 3 hits from flank so I could survive to get Squeeze off and then the Tentacle Slap on next turn.

For the Family Fighter achievments,most of the 5 stars dont work,flank hits 3 times,pets die before using what they supose to use.Maybe i have a bad RNG,but damn ,6h straight and still didnt manage to make all 10.

Its not just aquatic,its all breed,flank hits 3 times(99% of time) instead of 2(as it should be),so pets die before use anything

Skitterling was forced in on the second round. So I just went with it, dived the next swap, bring the Skitterling back in on death to eat the next swap but was fast enough to get off a swarm debuff. Finished off with Squeeze/Slap.

Yea you have to chuck your skitterling in first slot and eat a swap then forfeit so on the actual attempt the hissing is swapped in. i did it first try when i noticed that in the note.

tu peux commencer un combat de mascotte avec une mascotte aux alentours et de suite abandonner,, ainsi tu perds 10% des pvs et c bon

сработало на 6 раз(х снижала хп Проворного, взяв вторым любого с мычанием и третьим рандома. Мычание восстановит хп, но недостаточно, что бы их стало больше, чем у проворного

Подтверждаю. Удалось решить проблему следующим образом: ставлю первым проворного спинохруста, запускаю бой. После того, как Храпун применит Врата Бездны - выхожу из боя. Дальше запускаю бой уже по стратегии, оставшихся 1000+ ХП у проворного вполне хватило для победы.
