Could be.

I haven't tried it myself, but according to Wowhead, Snozz is 325 speed. An S/S Skitterling is faster, with 335 speed, but a P/S (or an S/B) is slower, with 299. That extra round of damage that a faster pet can get in can make a lot of difference.

And Dreamingdust does say it was tested only with an S/S. So maybe it is breed-sensitive.

Seeing that I have got a P/S Skitterling and P/P Crab since the time I posted the strategy, I decided to do some more testing. I had success with those breeds too, however, as you said yourself, the extra round can make a difference, and it took a few attempts to kill Snozz. Having S/S Skitterling is much more reliable in comparison, with no failure during my attempts. Have updated the tags and the info to reflect that, thanks to both of you for the comments.

Well... SB Skitterling DOES have more Health than a HH Fen Crab. In my first try without looking, I had HH Crab as first pet and only had SB Skitterling which made me fail. So, if you have SB Skitterling , make sure your second Fen Crab is NOT PP.
Still a bit tricky because Flank must not hit three times then.

Worked for me with a lvl 23 fen crab as the first pet (got lucky the Flank only hit twice on the last turn)
