This is a variation of morazor#2212's strategy, I trade one of the leveling pet slots for having a second pet to clean up when my first pet dies.

Note that the Sea Pony (2,2,*) is a drop in replacement for Syd, and the third pet can be anything that has greater health than Syd / Pony, and has beast attacks.
