I favor spamming Tail Sweep with the suggested slower pet. The damage of 2x Tail Sweeps and the 2-round Deep Breath is equal when attacking with slower pets. On top of that... I get an earlier chance to trigger the Dragonkin passive, more chances to crit, and a Deep Breath crit might be capped by the Boss passive.

This strat only seems to work if your Nether Faerie Dragon has a speed of >263, otherwise it will die before it can do life exchange.
